WWE star Sol Ruca has opened up about the immense mental battle behind executing some of her signature high-flying moves, admitting that one particular maneuver terrifies her every single time she steps up to perform it.

Appearing on Notsam Wrestling Live! alongside host Sam Roberts, Ruca broke down her mindset when preparing for high-risk spots inside the ring. She specifically highlighted the Sasuke Special—a perilous cartwheel springboard over the top rope onto opponents outside—as a move that triggers intense fear before execution.

“I feel like I have both of those sides in my head sometimes. I have one mentality that’s like, okay, well, that’s the worst that could happen and I can learn and grow from that and lightning doesn’t strike twice… But then, also, knowing that that’s happened before when I do it and I’m a little bit more nervous for it but then I nail it, I’m like, ‘Hell yeah.’ That feeling, I get chills every time. The Sasuke Special for example is absolutely terrifying to me. Every time I do it, I’m like, ‘Why am I doing this?’ But when I nail it, I’m like, ‘Hell yeah. That was so sick’ and I have hit my feet on the ropes before and I remember the first few times I did it, I did it very clean and then the first time I hit my feet on the ropes, I was like, oh my God, that was absolutely terrifying. But then I just had to keep doing it because the more reps I do, the more consistent I’m gonna be and things happen. We are doing live performances and that’s just part of what we do… In my opinion, it makes us a little bit more human seeing that we make mistakes but it’s how we overcome them and how we move forward and continue the match.”

Ruca’s willingness to push physical boundaries continues to elevate her standing on the main roster. She recently competed on the big stage in the 2026 women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, a marquee contest eventually won by Tiffany Stratton.
