The Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match at WWE Money in the Bank 2026 delivered absolute chaos inside the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, culminating with Penta securing the briefcase.
However, the most talked-about moment of the night involved an unprecedented sequence featuring Je’Von Evans, an ambulance, and a terrifying fall.
During the match, Bron Breakker leveled Je’Von Evans with a full-speed spear that drove the Evans violently into the ringside barricade. The impact left Evans motionless on the floor, prompting medical staff and WWE officials Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis to rush to his aid. They carefully loaded Evans onto a stretcher, wheeling him up the ramp and into an ambulance stationed backstage.
What appeared to be a standard medical evacuation quickly turned into one of the wildest returns in promotional history. Minutes later, the ambulance drove back down the arena entrance ramp and onto the arena floor. Evans flung open the driver’s side door fully recovered, and charged back into the ring to a roaring ovation from the New Orleans crowd.
Evans immediately went on the attack, clearing ladders and scaling a tall structure to make his push for the contract. Recognizing that the ladder was positioned too far away to reach the briefcase, Evans was left stranded in mid-air—and Breakker seized the moment. Breakker shoved the ladder over, sending Evans plummeting headfirst through the roof of the ambulance, leaving the young star completely wiped out.
With Evans finally taken out of the equation and the rest of the field decimated, Penta capitalized on the opening. In a jaw-dropping final sequence, Penta executed a high-risk Mexican Destroyer off a ladder onto Breakker through a bridged ladder, clearing the ring to scale the rungs alone and unlatch the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase to secure the victory.
