WWE has officially confirmed a pair of blockbuster champion vs. champion showdowns for Crown Jewel 2026, locking in high-stakes title matches despite lingering questions surrounding the event’s location following recent international events.
During the October 12 episode of RAW on Netflix from the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana, reigning WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green made a surprise cross-brand appearance. Interrupting newly crowned WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan during her post-Money in the Bank celebration, Green revealed that she will challenge Morgan in a winner-take-all champion vs. champion match to crown the 2026 WWE Crown Jewel Women’s Champion.
The announcement was quickly followed by chaos. After Green and Morgan exchanged verbal jabs, Roxanne Perez stepped out to challenge Green to an impromptu non-title match. Perez scored a major upset victory over the SmackDown champion after Green became distracted by members of The Judgment Day at ringside. Perez later lobbied Adam Pearce for a championship opportunity against Green, though Pearce noted the decision ultimately rests with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.
Later in the broadcast, WWE officially announced a second champion vs. champion clash for the men’s division, pairing World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns against Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn for the WWE Crown Jewel Men’s Championship.
Notably, WWE continued to aggressively advertise Crown Jewel for November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the broadcast. Despite recent global concerns and speculation regarding the event’s status following the missile strike at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh over the weekend, WWE displayed on-screen graphics promoting the date and location, maintaining that the premium live event is moving forward as planned.
As of Monday’s broadcast, WWE has not announced any alterations to the scheduled date or venue.
