Drew McIntyre may be absent from WWE television, but “The Scottish Warrior” is making sure fans know he remains in peak physical condition while pursuing new ventures outside the squared circle.
Physical Transformation & “Hollywood Drew”
During a recent interview with Fox News, McIntyre opened up about his ongoing hiatus from WWE and his expanding footprint in Hollywood. The former WWE Champion revealed that despite stepping away from the ring, he has continued an intense training regimen and is currently weighing in at 285 pounds—10 pounds heavier than when he filmed his recent action project.
- On his current size and shape: “I’m as big as I’ve ever been. I’m 285, right? And I’m 10 pounds bigger than I was for ‘Agent of Shadows.’ I’m in the best shape of my life.”
- On staying in ring shape: “I posted myself running the ropes the other day, keeping myself in ring shape. I’m always ready to go. I think it got like over 8 million views, just bouncing off the ropes a few times, across my social media platforms.”
- On his current priority: “But right now, I’m focused on Hollywood Drew. So, we’ll see. We will see.”
To prove his point, McIntyre showcased his physical transformation by sharing “before and after” photos across his social media accounts, alongside the training footage that garnered millions of views.
WWE Absence and Expanding Acting Portfolio
McIntyre has been out of WWE action since his high-profile clash against Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 this past April. While he insists he remains physically prepared to return whenever called upon, his immediate focus has clearly shifted toward feature films and digital media:
- Disney Project: McIntyre was officially announced for an upcoming Disney film earlier this week.
- ‘Agent of Shadows’: The trailer for the first-ever WWE x ReelShort collaboration, Agent of Shadows starring McIntyre, premiered during the Money in the Bank 2026 premium live event on October 10 and is set for release on October 23.
While a WWE return remains on the table down the line, “Hollywood Drew” appears content expanding his brand beyond wrestling for the foreseeable future.
