Drew McIntyre Back in the US Ahead of WWE Return

Drew McIntyre Back in the US Ahead of WWE Return

Drew McIntyre has officially returned to the United States, though it remains uncertain when the former WWE Champion will make his return to television.

McIntyre has been absent from WWE programming since WrestleMania 42, with his extended time away planned well in advance. The 41-year-old took a hiatus to fulfill significant non-wrestling commitments, including major Hollywood film projects like the Highlander reboot and The Last Druid. According to a new report from PWInsider, McIntyre has wrapped up those external obligations and returned to the country.

Creative Direction Yet to Take Shape

Despite his physical return to the United States, reports indicate that there have not yet been any active creative discussions regarding McIntyre’s television comeback or prospective storylines.

While his presence back in the country means he is available, an immediate on-screen return does not appear to be imminent. However, with WWE heading into a busy autumn schedule, management will have numerous opportunities to reintegrate the Scottish Warrior into live programming on RAW or SmackDown once a creative plan is finalized.

McIntyre remains one of WWE’s premier attractions, particularly following his compelling heel run and high-profile rivalries against top stars like CM Punk.
