Big Women's Match Rumored for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event Card

With three high-profile matches already confirmed for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event, WWE internal discussions have focused on adding a major six-woman tag team match to the lineup for the September 6 broadcast.

According to a report from WrestleVotes, WWE creative has explored staging a trios match pitting NXT faction Fatal Influence against the powerhouse team of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Tatum Paxley.

“I do know the women’s trios match—Fatal Influence vs. Alexa, Tatum, and Charlotte—has been loosely discussed to make that card. They are treating this event as a PLE-lite,” WrestleVotes reported.

WWE High on Fatal Influence as Event Takes Shape

The “PLE-lite” approach explains why WWE is aiming to load up the card with marquee star power across both the main roster and NXT brands. WrestleVotes noted that WWE management remains extremely high on Fatal Influence and intends to push the group heavily while their momentum and internal metrics remain strong.

“They really like Fatal Influence. You talk about them with the numbers in their favor, and they will continue to use that until that changes. When you have a hot hand like that, you continue to use them.”

While the six-woman tag match has not yet been officially announced, its addition would further elevate a stacked lineup. The September 6 special already features Cody Rhodes taking on Randy Orton, Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker defending against Oba Femi, and a five-minute challenge between Baron Corbin and Lil Yachty—where a Yachty victory earns Trick Williams an immediate United States Title match.
