Reigning AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin is officially heading to Mexico City for his highly anticipated Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) debut on Friday, October 30.
The AEW star will collide with dual-contracted AEW and CMLL standout Hechicero in a marquee singles match at the iconic Arena Mexico as part of CMLL’s annual Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations. The event has already officially sold out in-person attendance.
High-Stakes Schedule Ahead Of Blood & Guts
While the October 30 clash inside “La Catedral de la Lucha Libre” is non-title, it carries significant storyline momentum as Allin steps into enemy territory against a key member of The Don Callis Family. Hechicero, who also holds gold as the reigning CMLL World Heavyweight Champion, previously dropped a singles match to Allin on AEW Collision earlier this month.
Allin’s Mexican debut caps off an exceptionally demanding multi-week stretch across AEW and international partner promotions:
- TNT Title Defense: Allin puts his TNT Championship on the line against Josh Alexander on Wednesday’s Fright Night edition of AEW Dynamite.
- CMLL Debut (Oct. 30): Battles Hechicero in Mexico City. Fans can stream the sold-out card live via pay-per-view on MyAEW or through the Legend-tier subscription on CMLL’s official YouTube channel.
- Blood & Guts (Nov. 4): Teams with Steven Borden, The Young Bucks, Adam Copeland, and Will Ospreay to face The Don Callis Family side of Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, Jake Doyle, Wardlow, and Kazuchika Okada.
- Lucha Kingdom Preview: Hechicero remains booked for a major defense of his CMLL World Heavyweight Championship against NJPW’s Zack Sabre Jr. at the collaborative CMLL & NJPW Lucha Kingdom event on November 16.
