Randy Orton And Cody Rhodes Set For Violent Last Man Standing Match At Crown Jewel

The intense rivalry between WWE’s top stars just reached a boiling point on the October 23 episode of WWE SmackDown. Randy Orton kicked off the segment by calling out the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, unleashing a fierce verbal assault.

Orton listed off Cody’s many labels, from the American Nightmare to movie star, admitting he was proud that Rhodes finally snapped. The Apex Predator claimed it as a badge of honor that he was the one who pushed Cody to his breaking point.

However, Orton insisted he was not fooled, reminding everyone that for 25 years he has kicked legends’ heads off without remorse. He challenged Cody, predicting that when the moment comes, the champion will hesitate to do the same to him.

Rhodes interrupted the promo, bypassing General Manager Nick Aldis and security to storm the ring. Cody fired back, questioning when Orton became a coward and accusing him of rewriting their shared history of destruction against icons like Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Dusty Rhodes.

Refusing to back down, Cody removed his jacket and demanded a fight right then and there. While Orton claimed the battle would happen on his own terms, Aldis stepped in to offer an official solution for the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event.

Cody immediately accepted the fight but raised the stakes significantly, demanding a Last Man Standing stipulation. Orton surveyed the crowd before officially accepting, leaving Rhodes with a chilling warning to remember that he was the one who asked for it.
