Elly Finch Reportedly Signs With WWE – WWE has added another high-level collegiate athlete to its developmental pipeline, securing a deal with Elly Finch following a series of impressive tryouts.
According to reports from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the multi-sport standout has officially put pen to paper on a developmental contract and will report to the company’s training facility.
Athletic Background and Gridiron History
Finch brings an elite athletic pedigree to the squared circle, having previously competed as a shot put thrower for the Michigan State University track and field team. Before her time at the collegiate level, she made waves closer to home by breaking barriers at Royal Oak High School in Michigan.
Graduating in 2023, she etched her name in the history books as the first female varsity football player at the school, where she showcased her toughness playing critical positions including tackle, left guard, and middle linebacker.
Transitioning to Professional Wrestling
After participating in evaluation camps earlier this year, including sessions over SummerSlam weekend, Finch caught the attention of company executives. Her combination of raw athletic power and trailblazing gridiron experience made her a standout prospect during the recruitment evaluations.
She is slated to be featured as part of the upcoming incoming recruitment class at the facility, where coaches will begin molding her background into a professional wrestling career. While official television announcements from the promotion are still pending, anticipation is already building to see how her unique physical background translates inside the squared circle.
