WWE has raised serious questions regarding Stephanie Vaquer’s status heading into tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW, casting doubt on her highly anticipated match against Becky Lynch.
Despite Vaquer recently declaring that she had been medically cleared to return to action, WWE posted a social media update on Monday afternoon teasing a potential last-minute shakeup.
Questions Surrounding Vaquer’s Availability
Addressing the growing uncertainty online, WWE confirmed that General Manager Adam Pearce will tackle the situation directly during the broadcast.
“Questions have arisen regarding Stephanie Vaquer’s medical availability heading into WWE Raw,” WWE wrote. “Adam Pearce will address everything on tonight’s show.”
The official statement arrives just one day after Pearce booked Vaquer and Lynch in a high-stakes No. 1 Contender Match for the October 26 event at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.
The match between Vaquer and Becky Lynch is currently not listed on the official WWE RAW preview.
A Tumultuous Road Back To The Ring
Vaquer’s status has been the subject of ongoing confusion over the past several weeks. After appearing on crutches during the October 12 episode of RAW, “La Primera” made surprising in-ring appearances at WWE live events in Hawaii on October 16 and October 17.
WWE then released a video over the weekend where Vaquer dramatically tossed her crutches aside, boldly declaring her readiness for Monday night.
“Becky, you wanted to know when I’m cleared,” Vaquer stated in the video. “See you on Monday!”
Card Changes On RAW
With hours to go before showtime, it remains unclear whether the No. 1 Contender bout will proceed as advertised.
This update adds to a turbulent card for the Fresno broadcast. Earlier on Monday, WWE also altered the advertised match between Raquel Rodriguez and IYO SKY, changing it from a Women’s Intercontinental Championship bout to a non-title contest.
