WWE Superstar Sol Ruca has admitted she is open to exploring a darker side of her character, though she has been told her natural disposition might keep her out of the heel role.
Speaking with Korey Smith and Tor Smith on KRON 4, the former NXT Women’s North American Champion addressed the possibility of transitioning away from her popular babyface persona. While she would welcome the chance to try something different, Ruca noted that those around her believe her natural demeanor makes the shift unlikely.
The Challenge Of Turning Heel
Ruca explained that while she is eager to stretch her creative wings, her inherent personality presents a unique hurdle for any villainous transformation.
“I have no idea. I would love to be able to try that. I have been told in the past that I most likely will not be heel, ever, because of how I am naturally,” Ruca stated.
Elaborating on her upbeat temperament, Ruca added that it would require exceptional circumstances to bring out a more antagonistic edge on screen. “I’m quite a bubbly person. I feel like it’s going to take a very special person to get that side out of me. We’ll just have to wait and see.”
Ruca last competed on WWE television during the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match and has since been staying sharp with appearances on Main Event.
