Buddy Matthews Pulled From World Series Wrestling MegaMania Tour

AEW star Buddy Matthews has been pulled from World Series Wrestling’s upcoming MegaMania tour in Australia due to scheduling conflicts.

Initially announced for the cross-country tour back in May, WSW officially confirmed the lineup change as the event approaches.

WSW Statement And Lineup Change

Addressing the sudden departure, the promotion expressed regret while acknowledging the unpredictable nature of professional wrestling schedules.

“We have just learnt, that due to scheduling conflicts, Buddy Matthews will no longer be appearing on the WSW MEGAMANIA Tour,” WSW wrote in a statement. “We’re really disappointed that Buddy won’t be joining us this time around, but we completely understand that schedules can change.”

The promotion also indicated optimism about working together again down the line. “We hope to welcome Buddy Matthews back to World Series Wrestling on a future tour! Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”

In-Ring Background

No additional details were provided regarding whether the scheduling conflict involves personal obligations or professional commitments.

Matthews has been sidelined since undergoing surgery for an ankle injury in February 2025. However, the AEW star began teasing a potential return to action after receiving medical clearance in July. The WSW MegaMania tour is scheduled to run from October 29 through November 2.
