Fresh off his victory in the main event of AEW All In 2026, newly crowned AEW World Champion Will Ospreay kicked off the September 2 episode of AEW Dynamite to a thunderous reaction from the crowd in Allen, Texas.
After soaking in prolonged “you deserve it” chants from the arena, Ospreay admitted that no words could fully capture what winning the World Title in his home country meant to him. He vowed to be a fighting champion and promised the AEW fanbase that he would not let them down during his reign.
Calling Out Kenny Omega & Forming The United Empire In AEW
Ospreay turned his attention to his historic rivalry with Kenny Omega, pointing out that their legendary series is currently tied at two wins apiece following his victory in London. “The Aerial Assassin” made it clear that whenever Omega is ready, he is prepared to grant him the ultimate tiebreaker match.
Ospreay then shifted to a major career announcement, giving credit to Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, and HENARE for supporting him during his special entrance at All In. Ospreay officially revealed his plans to form a brand-new branch of The United Empire directly within AEW.
Confrontation With Ricochet, The Demand & War Dogs
The celebration was cut short when Ricochet and The Demand made their way to the stage. Ricochet insulted the new champion, claiming that Ospreay would not be standing at the top of the mountain without him.
Moments later, Bullet Club War Dogs members Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors entered the fray, adding to the tension. As all five men attempted to storm the ring to attack Ospreay, Newman, Akira, and HENARE emerged through the crowd to align with the champion, cutting off the ambush and standing tall alongside Ospreay to close the segment.
