Former NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey is facing an extended stint on the shelf following her title loss over the weekend.
At the NXT Heatwave 2026 Premium Live Event, Grey put her championship on the line against Kelani Jordan. Jordan emerged victorious, bringing an end to Grey’s 63-day reign as the top champion of the division.
Injury Update: Vertigo And Equilibrium Issues
A official status update was provided by commentator Vic Joseph during the September 1 broadcast of WWE NXT on The CW.
According to Joseph, Grey was already dealing with pre-existing equilibrium issues stemming from a laceration she suffered during an intense NXT Underground match against Lola Vice. Her condition was further aggravated at Heatwave when she was thrown face-first into an exposed turnbuckle during her title defense.
Joseph confirmed that Grey is currently dealing with severe vertigo as a result of the collision and has been ruled out of in-ring action for the foreseeable future.
