NXT Results – September 1, 2026 – Welcome to Wrestling Attitude’s live coverage of NXT for September 1, 2026, coming to you from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

After a long recap of NXT Heatwave, Zilla Fatu makes his way to the ring to start the show.

Zilla Fatu said he hoped tonight would’ve been his first night standing in the ring as the new NXT Champion, but Heatwave didn’t line up for him. Even so, he called the experience “amazing,” saying sharing a WWE Championship match felt like the start of something bigger. For Zilla, it’s not if he wins the NXT Title — it’s when.

Tristan Angels’ music hit and he walked out ready to stir trouble. He mocked Zilla for “prattling on” about the NXT Championship and said Zilla isn’t even “the Main One” in his own family. Angels claimed the deeper you go into the Bloodline, the less talented you get, and said Zilla doesn’t look or carry himself like a champion.

Zilla fired back, calling Angels “Gangrel Jr.” and saying he liked the accent but hated the attitude. He challenged Angels to a match tonight. Angels accepted, tried to jump him, but Zilla immediately took control and forced Angels to roll out of the ring.

Robert Stone’s Office Playset – Saquon Shugars, EK Prosper & Keanu Carver

Inside the ever‑chaotic Office Playset, Saquon Shugars and EK Prosper were mid‑complaint, venting about not getting opportunities. Robert Stone told them he agreed they should be moving up to the next level — but now that Grayson Waller is NXT Champion, he has to “figure things out” before handing out chances.

Keanu Carver then walked in to make his own case for being the #1 Contender. He pressed Stone on what he planned to do next… and the scene cut out before Stone could answer.

Myles Borne – X Interview

Coming back from break, Myles Borne appeared via a phoned‑in X post. He said he took a big swing at Heatwave and struck out — and then addressed Tavion Heights, who he blindsided after losing the North American Title.

Borne claimed he saw Heights “looking to turn on him,” so he made sure to get Heights before Heights could get him.

Shiloh Hill vs. Naraku

Hill hit a takedown at the bell, smacking Naraku down from a waistlock. Naraku answered with chops and a shoulder block. Hill hit one of his own, Naraku cut him off with a throat punch.

Commentary announced that Zilla Fatu vs. Tristan Angels was now official for later.

Naraku bailed and uncovered the announce table, but Hill chased him, bouncing his head off the apron and hitting a flying clothesline back in the ring. Naraku regained control with strikes and repeated clotheslines.

He locked Hill in a crossface while Booker T attempted an “evil Naraku laugh.” Naraku suplexed Hill for two, hit another clothesline, then grabbed a chinlock. Hill punched free, but Naraku cracked him with a backfist for another two.

Hill dodged a corner charge and fired up with a big boot, a gutwrench slam, and a standing moonsault for two. Naraku went back to the throat punch and hit a sit‑out powerbomb. Hill caught him with a pop‑up uppercut, then both men collided in a double clothesline.

Naraku then pulled out the trick: he spit green mist into his hand, rubbed it across Hill’s face behind the referee’s back, hit Enter the Abyss, and pinned him.

Winner: Naraku

Backstage – Tag Title Aspirations

Shean Legacy, Dorian Van Dux, Noam Dar, and Romero Moreno all argued about the new Tag Team Champions and who deserves the first shot. The summary? They’ll have a match later to determine who is “super”… and who is “super duper.”

Romeo Moreno & Noam Dar vs. Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux

Legacy and Moreno opened with fast rope‑running and clean arm drags, neither able to get a solid grip. Van Dux and Dar tagged in next — Dar’s speed gave him the early edge, but once DVD timed him, he flattened Dar with a massive clothesline.

Legacy returned, scoop‑slammed Dar, and DVD crashed down with a crossbody. Moreno kicked DVD through the ropes and grabbed a blind tag. Dar followed him in, and DVD tried to use Legacy as a weapon, but it all collapsed into a double ankle lock on Dar and Moreno.

The fight spilled outside. DVD powerbombed Moreno on the floor, and he and Legacy took a moment to pose while commentary revisited the Myles Borne/Tavion Heights drama.

Back inside, DVD hoisted Dar for a long, long staaaaaalling suplex, then handed him off mid‑air to Legacy for an even longer one. Legacy finally dropped Dar for two. Moreno blind‑tagged and superkicked Legacy, then hit amateur‑style takedowns.

Dar worked Legacy’s arm to cut his power. Moreno and Dar blocked the hot tag, and Dar tried a cover. Moreno climbed for a moonsault, missed, and Legacy finally tagged DVD, who steamrolled both opponents.

Dar and Legacy tagged in and traded kicks and strikes as the pace spiked. Dar locked an armbar, Moreno suplexed DVD, Legacy broke free — all four collapsed. They spilled outside again, and Moreno kicked DVD down the steps.

Moreno held Legacy for Dar’s top‑rope double stomp — two count. Dar fired up, swung, missed, and accidentally backfisted Moreno. Legacy tried to finish it, but his knee buckled. Dar scooped him up and pinned him.

Winners: Romeo Moreno & Noam Dar

Post‑Match – Creed Brothers Return

The Creed Brothers hit the ring out of nowhere, destroying Dar and Moreno and announcing their return to NXT.

Robert Stone’s Office Playset – Speed Title Chaos

Zaria walked into Stone’s office and declared she wanted to retire the Speed Championship. Birthright was inexplicably present. Stone told Lexis King that Zaria’s decision meant King’s Speed Title was now defunct. King looked mildly annoyed, handed Stone the belt, and left.

Then Cruz Santana wandered in asking for a shot at Grayson Waller. Stone said he had to wait until Waller speaks later in the show. Keanu Carver barged back in, shouted “yeah!”, and the scene ended abruptly.

We Hear From Kelani Jordan

Kelani Jordan strutted out with the confidence of someone who knew she’d been right all along. She said she spent months telling everyone exactly what was going to happen — and at Heatwave, it did. She called her match with Kendal Grey one of the best of the year and said people are finally talking about how great she has always been instead of Grey. She warned fans not to “switch it up now,” reminding them they already put Grey in their imaginary Hall of Fame. Jordan said she beat someone great… so what does that make her?

She bragged about sending Grey into the exposed turnbuckle and claimed Grey is now dealing with vertigo. Jordan then called out Wren Sinclair, telling her to warn Grey not to stand up too fast. She said Grey will always be second place to her.

Jordan then dropped her résumé: no one in WWE history has won the Women’s North American Championship, the TNA Knockouts World Championship, and the NXT Women’s Championship on their first attempt — except her. She said nobody is taking the NXT Women’s Title from her because “no one does it like Lani.”

Jaida Parker’s music hit.

Parker said Jordan deserves the title and is clearly feeling herself, but she’s not the only one who called her shot at Heatwave. Parker reminded everyone she made Nattie tap out in their Submission Match and has leveled up to championship material. She also pointed out she’s already beaten Jordan before. Parker said she had her gear ready and time left on the show — so she challenged Jordan to a title match tonight.

Jordan said she wasn’t surprised Parker interrupted her. She admitted Parker has improved, but insisted Parker is still “three levels below” her. Jordan agreed to a title match — next week, not tonight. Parker doesn’t get to decide when matches happen.

Thea Hail vs. Nikkita Lyons

Thea Hail came in fired up after sticking her nose into the Submission Match at Heatwave, making sure Nattie couldn’t lean on the numbers game. In the chaos, she took out Nikkita Lyons — so tonight Lyons came looking for payback.

Lyons opened with a spin kick, Hail dodged and hit a Thesz Press. Hail went straight for the arm, trying to take away Lyons’ reach advantage. She tried a crossbody, Lyons caught her and slammed her hard. From there Lyons tossed Hail around the ring and locked in a modified camel clutch, bending Hail nearly in half.

Hail muscled out and hit a back body drop, then stomped the arm again and landed a blockbuster for two. Lyons answered with a German suplex and a heavy right hand for another two.

Hail tried to position Lyons for a Kimura, but Lyons countered into a suplex. Hail rebounded with a Hail Mary off the ropes and held Lyons down for the three.

Winner: Thea Hail

Mason Rook vs. Kam Hendrix

Mason Rook didn’t wait for anything — he jumped Kam Hendrix during his entrance and beat him from corner to corner. He crushed Hendrix with a senton, but missed a cannonball in the corner and spilled outside. Hendrix capitalized, sending Rook into the steel steps and throwing him back in for a two count.

Hendrix hit a splash and a senton while Rook struggled to stand. Hendrix tried a scoop slam, Rook countered, but his back gave out and Hendrix went right back to clubbing him. Rook tried a suplex, Hendrix landed on his feet, so Rook steamrolled him off the ropes and fired off lariats.

Rook hit a Blue Thunder Bomb — Hendrix kicked out at 2.5. Hendrix kicked Rook over for a cover, Rook kicked out. Hendrix exposed the turnbuckle, but Rook knocked him into it and hit a back body drop. Rook followed with the Rookus Slam and finally scored his first singles win in NXT.

Backstage – Tavion Heights & Vanity Project

Sarah Schreiber caught Tavion Heights backstage. Heights said he was genuinely hurt by Myles Borne claiming he attacked Heights before Heights could attack him — insisting that wasn’t who he is. Before he could say more, Vanity Project barged in and mocked him for losing the North American Title and losing a friend. Heights stood there stewing while they walked off laughing.

Zilla Fatu vs. Tristan Angels

Zilla and Angels locked up at the bell. Zilla immediately tossed Angels with a back body drop and sent him out of the ring. Zilla took flight, crashing into Angels and sending him over the announce desk. He threw Angels back inside and climbed the ropes, but Angels caught him with an enzuigiri that knocked Zilla to the floor.

Zilla bounced Angels’ head off the steps, but Angels answered by sending Zilla face‑first into the ring post. During the break, Angels dumped Zilla outside. Zilla fired back by launching Angels into two turnbuckles face‑first, then hit a chokeslam. He followed with a running senton and finished with the Triple Z for the win.

Winner: Zilla Fatu

Post‑Match – BirthRight Makes an Offer

BirthRight hit the ring. Charlie Dempsey told Zilla he should join them, saying he’d need backup if he planned to stand against Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Jacob Fatu. Lexis King added that BirthRight would treat Zilla “like family” and give him everything he wanted.

Zilla greeted him with a sarcastic “hello,” then corrected it to “hell no.” He walked off — but not before blasting Tristan Angels with a superkick on his way out.

We Hear From Grayson Waller

Robert Stone introduced the new NXT Champion, and Grayson Waller strutted out with the kind of swagger only he can get away with. He mocked the crowd, asking if they really expected anyone else to walk out of Heatwave with the title. He even called out Vic Joseph at the desk, saying winning the NXT Championship meant more than anything he’s done on the main roster.

Waller said he took a risk coming back to NXT, said goodbye to Zilla Fatu, and declared he forced the world to listen — and now nobody can ignore him. His phone has been blowing up with calls from people who never called before, including RAW GM Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis.

Then he asked who’s going to knock him off his pedestal:

Zilla Fatu, whose bloodline got him here?
Cruz Montana, who was “crying backstage at Heatwave” and is only “TNA good”?
Tony D’Angelo, who needed “two times and a shovel” to find where he buried him?

Waller asked who would step up — and that’s when the parade began.

Shugars came out first, saying Waller was talking about rattling cages, but he’s the guy who rattled Dion Lennox’s face off the side of a cage.

Montana followed, greeting the crowd and telling Shugars he wasn’t ready — but he was. He said Waller didn’t beat him three weeks ago or at Heatwave.

Prosper cut off Montana, saying he’s in the building and Montana already had his shot. Prosper claimed he’s been turning heads every week.

Rook interrupted that interruption, saying it’s time to see how Waller handles a tank being thrown at his head.

Tony D came out next, saying none of the men in the ring have a claim to the NXT Championship. He told Waller he never had it in him to face him one‑on‑one.

Stone tried to calm things down…

…but Carver’s music hit. He proposed a Six‑Man Tag Team Match next week, with the winning team then facing each other in a Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match.

Waller slid out of the ring while everyone else brawled, smirking as chaos erupted. The show went off the air with bodies flying and the champion nowhere near the fight.
