The Creed Brothers Make Surprise Return To WWE NXT, Lay Waste To Tag Team Division

The tag team division on WWE NXT was put on notice during the 9/1 episode as Julius Creed and Brutus Creed made an unannounced return to the brand, leaving total destruction in their wake.

The former NXT Tag Team Champions made their sudden presence felt immediately following a tag team match featuring Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno taking on Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy.

Post-Match Ambush Leaves Four Competitors Down

The finish of the match saw Dar and Moreno pick up the victory after Dar raised his knees to block a springboard splash attempt from Legacy, rolling him up for the three-count. However, their post-match celebration was immediately cut short.

The Creed Brothers charged the ring and launched a relentless attack on both teams. Julius leveled Dar with a forceful German suplex, while Brutus fed Moreno straight into their signature Brutus Ball powerbomb combination. Announcers confirmed during the melee that the duo has officially returned to the NXT roster.

Following the broadcast, the brothers released a brief video across social media channels stating that they will address the motivation behind their return on next week’s episode, keeping their long-term intentions under wraps for now.

The Path Back To The Gold

The return marks a major reset for the powerhouse duo, who originally competed in NXT from 2020 through 2023 before making the jump to the main roster.

  • Main Roster Run: Their recent run included working alongside the original El Grande Americano before competing under masks as Julio and Bruto Creedo (Los Americanos Hermanos). That storyline concluded when Chad Gable unmasked following a mask-versus-mask loss.
  • Main Event Activity: The Creeds’ last main roster match came on the May 18 edition of WWE RAW. Since then, they remained active on WWE Main Event, where they recently defeated both Van Dux & Legacy and Dar & Moreno in August matches—setting the stage for Tuesday’s physical confrontation.

Now back on the brand where they originally captured gold, the brothers appear primed to immediately insert themselves back into title contention.
