A fiery social media exchange has captured the wrestling world’s attention after former WWE Tag Team Champions Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso posted a pointed response on X (formerly Twitter) following critical remarks made by Andrade El Idolo regarding WWE’s booking practices.
While speaking during an interview with Latin Lover, Andrade voiced frustration over the disparities in how WWE handles talent pushes, specifically contrasting the opportunities afforded to Mexican wrestlers with those given to Samoan talent.
Andrade Questions Pushes For Samoan Wrestlers
In his interview, Andrade pointed to stars like Santos Escobar, Angel Garza, and Berto, arguing that Mexican talent rarely receives sustained backing to reach top-tier stardom. In contrast, Andrade claimed that WWE continually invests in several Samoan wrestlers despite lack of immediate success.
“Santos Escobar never got the opportunity either,” Andrade stated. “Maybe this is going to sound bad… you talk about the Samoans, but a lot of them—the majority, not all of them, right? Roman Reigns, of course, he made it. He did it. But there are several of them who haven’t, and they give them opportunities and give them opportunities, and they’re still there. You can’t force it, gentlemen. Mexicans get very few opportunities. It’s that simple.”
Andrade added that WWE has the power to manufacture stars through sheer persistence: “There are wrestlers that WWE has given opportunities to 20, 30 times, and they keep them there until they make them stars. No matter how bad you are, when they want to make you, they make you.”
The Usos Fire Back On Social Media
Shortly after Andrade’s comments began making rounds online, Jimmy and Jey Uso released a sharp message from their joint X account that appeared to address the critique:
“We draw. That’s the difference between us and them. Stop btching and do sum shi,”* the brothers wrote.
To reinforce their stance, The Usos followed up with a secondary post reading: “Thats to all yall mfs.”
Although neither tweet specifically named Andrade or referenced any storyline, the timing led fans across social media to link the posts to Andrade’s viral interview.
The exchange comes as The Bloodline saga prepares for its next chapter, with Roman Reigns and The Usos embroiled in a rivalry alongside Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Royce Keys, and OTM, heading toward a potential WarGames match at Survivor Series.
