Fresh off his emotional title victory in London, newly crowned AEW World Champion Will Ospreay already has his first official championship defense locked in. Ospreay will put the title on the line against Jon Moxley at AEW All Out 2026 following a tense post-match confrontation to close out the September 2 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Main Event Multi-Man Chaos Leads To Sudden Betrayal
The match was made official after Ospreay teamed with Andrade El Idolo, HENARE, Callum Newman, and Francesco Akira to defeat the team of Ricochet, Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun, Gabe Kidd, and Clark Connors in a massive 10-man tag main event. Ospreay secured the pinfall victory for his squad after hitting his signature Hidden Blade.
However, the post-match celebration was immediately cut short. Andrade and Kidd continued brawl beyond the bell, forcing arena security to intervene. When Ospreay stepped in to assist Andrade, Kidd blindsided the new champion with a low blow. Kidd then retrieved a steel chair and began a brutal attack on Ospreay until Moxley and The Death Riders stormed the ring to clear the chaos.
Tense Staredown Confirms All Out Main Event
Once the ring was cleared of all other competitors, Ospreay and Moxley were left standing alone inside the squared circle. Moxley picked up the AEW World Championship, holding it in his hands before handing it back to the champion. The two stars shared an intense, silent face-to-face staredown, with neither man backing down.
AEW immediately rendered an official match graphic during the broadcast, confirming the championship clash between Ospreay and Moxley.
