Omos Indefinitely Suspended from Lucha Libre AAA Following Attack on Rey Mysterio

The opening match of the August 22 episode of AAA on Fox descended into chaos when Omos faced off against Galeno in an encounter that ultimately ended in a no contest.

Following the conclusion of the match, the situation escalated rapidly as Omos launched a brutal assault, putting Galeno through the announcer’s table and attempting to hurl the heavy steel ring steps onto his fallen opponent.

Before the violence could spiral further out of control, AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio rushed to the ring to intervene. However, Omos turned his aggression toward the WWE Hall of Famer, grabbing him by the throat and positioning him for a chokeslam.

While Dorian Roldan attempted to talk Omos down, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio surprisingly encouraged the massive competitor to proceed with the attack. Omos ultimately released Mysterio, but the damage was already done. Standing in the center of the ring, Rey Mysterio announced an indefinite suspension, confirming Omos suspension on August 22, which took place during the live broadcast.

Infuriated by the ruling, Omos lashed out and struck Rey Mysterio with a powerful blow, sending the General Manager flying completely out of the ring. As of now, officials have provided no confirmation regarding when or if Omos will return to WWE or AAA programming following the unprecedented attack.
