Rhino Debuts on AEW Dynamite – A familiar face from the past stepped into an AEW ring for the first time during tonight’s episode of Dynamite in Detroit, Michigan.
The show featured a surprise appearance by none other than “The Man Beast” Rhino, marking his official AEW debut. Rhino, a former WWE and ECW standout, had been previously advertised for this week’s AEW and Ring of Honor events, including the Dynamite and Collision tapings as well as the ROH taping held earlier tonight.
His arrival came during a segment involving ROH Television Champion Nick Wayne. Wayne was scheduled to defend his title against “a man from Christian Cage’s past,” which led to speculation online about who might appear. That mystery opponent turned out to be Rhino—an old ally and rival of Christian Cage dating back to their days in WWE and ECW.
In his debut AEW match, Rhino challenged Wayne for the ROH Television Championship. While Rhino brought power and experience to the ring, it was the young champion who walked away with the victory. Wayne sealed the win using Christian Cage’s own finishing move, the Killswitch, in what could be seen as a subtle message to his mentor.
Rhino’s involvement adds another layer to the ongoing storyline between Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and the rest of their faction. With appearances scheduled for more tapings, this likely won’t be the last we see of Rhino in an AEW ring.
