WWE WrestleMania 41 Falls Short of Netflix Top 10; RAW Before Mania Draws Strong YouTube Numbers – Despite the hype surrounding WrestleMania 41, neither night of WWE’s biggest event of the year cracked the top ten on Netflix for the week, according to Wrestling Observer. This places both shows under the 2.7 million views threshold necessary to break into the platform’s global chart, and likely under 3.7 million total viewers combined outside the United States.
However, it’s important to note that these figures are strictly for international audiences, as Peacock holds the exclusive U.S. streaming rights for WWE Premium Live Events (PLEs). Also, internationally PLEs are still available on the WWE Network. With the Netflix data only reflecting viewership outside the U.S., the reported numbers paint only part of the picture. It’s also possible that the second night of WrestleMania 41, which aired Sunday, may appear on next week’s Netflix chart depending on when viewership was tallied.
Interestingly, this year’s Royal Rumble did make the Netflix top ten with 2.1 million views, although it benefited from a quieter week in terms of streaming competition. On the other hand, Elimination Chamber failed to chart, despite The Rock’s heavily promoted appearance.
While WrestleMania struggled to make an impact globally on Netflix, the event did manage to perform well regionally. The Saturday show ranked No. 4 for the week among English-language programs in the United Kingdom, based on streaming metrics up to the following Monday.
Meanwhile, the April 14 episode of WWE RAW—the final show before WrestleMania—drew strong viewership on Netflix. The episode racked up approximately 5.6 million viewer hours and 2.9 million views, though those figures suggest very few people streamed it live. When factoring in a possible average of 1.37 viewers per stream (a potentially high estimate for streaming), the viewership breaks down to an estimated 2.547 million individual viewers and a total reach of 3.489 million.
On YouTube, WWE content from the April 14 RAW also garnered major attention:
- Seth Rollins stomping CM Punk and Roman Reigns, with Paul Heyman watching, led the charge at 2.8 million views.
- Jey Uso’s promo about winning the World Heavyweight Championship hit 448K views.
- GUNTHER’s vow to not repeat past mistakes with Jey Uso followed with 389K views.
- Logan Paul and Karrion Kross ambushing AJ Styles drew 380K views.
- Bayley vs. Liv Morgan rounded out the top segments with 306K views.
While WrestleMania 41 didn’t achieve global dominance on Netflix, WWE continues to show strength across platforms, particularly with RAW and digital content on YouTube.
