AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 Heads to London This August – AEW has officially announced that the fourth annual AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view will take place in London, England, on Sunday, August 24. The event will emanate from the iconic O2 Arena, marking the first time the cross-promotional supershow has been held outside of the United States.
Tony Khan revealed the news during a Tuesday morning interview on BBC London News, confirming that Forbidden Door 2025 would bring some of wrestling’s biggest stars to the UK for the internationally acclaimed event co-promoted with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Several top AEW names have already been announced for the card, including AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, Adam Copeland, Swerve Strickland, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, Willow Nightingale, AEW Women’s Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm, AEW International Champion Kenny Omega, and Will Ospreay—who will receive a major hometown reception.
This year’s Forbidden Door will be the fourth installment in the collaborative series between AEW and NJPW. The previous three events were held in the United States and featured marquee interpromotional matches that blurred company lines and thrilled fans around the globe.
In addition to Forbidden Door, AEW also announced its upcoming debut in Glasgow, Scotland. On Wednesday, August 20, AEW will present a double taping of Dynamite and Collision from the OVO Hydro. This will mark AEW’s first visit to Scotland and is expected to draw significant interest as the company continues expanding its international presence.
Tickets for both the London and Glasgow events will go on sale Friday, May 2. With a stacked lineup and two major UK dates in one week, AEW’s European summer swing is already shaping up to be a can’t-miss chapter in the promotion’s growing global reach.
