WWE Continues Name Adjustments, Removes Nicknames from Multiple Superstars – As noted, WWE recently updated its roster page by removing the “Freakin” moniker from Seth Rollins’ name. This decision received positive reactions from many fans who felt the nickname was unnecessary.
On March 12, further changes were noticed as WWE adjusted the names of additional superstars. Bronson Reed’s profile no longer includes the “Big” moniker, and Dominik Mysterio’s “Dirty” nickname was also removed.
Reed was first introduced as “Big” Bronson Reed in August 2023, while Mysterio adopted the “Dirty” persona in July 2023. The reasoning behind these updates remains unclear, but it appears WWE is making a broader effort to simplify or refine superstar names.
Reed has been out of action since suffering an injury in the Survivor Series: WarGames main event last November. There is currently no official word on when he will return to the ring, but we have an update at this link.
These recent adjustments indicate WWE is fine-tuning its branding, with more potential changes to come.
