Backstage News on WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Change – Bianca Belair and Naomi’s reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions came to an end on Monday’s episode of RAW, as they lost the titles to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the main event. This marks the conclusion of Belair’s run with the belts, which saw its share of challenges throughout.
Belair originally captured the championships alongside Jade Cargill at WWE Bash in Berlin. However, after Cargill was sidelined due to an attack, Naomi stepped in as Belair’s partner in November. With Cargill expected to return to television soon, her next move remains uncertain.
According to PWInsider.com, the title change had been planned for some time. Reports from last month indicated that WWE had big plans for Morgan and Rodriguez as a tag team, with their push leading into WrestleMania 41. WWE officials were reportedly pleased with the live crowd’s reaction to the match and felt the main event delivered on all fronts.
As of now, WWE has not revealed what lies ahead for the new champions at WrestleMania 41.
Following the loss, Belair shared her thoughts on social media, reflecting on what the title reign meant to her. She expressed pride in her time as champion and praised the women’s tag team division, calling it “fire.” Belair also acknowledged Morgan and Rodriguez while emphasizing that this loss was not the end for her and Naomi.
“Having these titles and holding this responsibility meant so much. I tried to give this division everything I had and more, and I hope I did right by you.
Our tag team division is —— [fire]…and I love that yall see that! even Liv & Raquel —
I can end this reign saying I am so proud!
WE did That!
It’s bittersweet.
But like someone said “Don’t cry because it’s over… smile because it happened
…Sis is Tired from putting that werk in but It’s Mania season and it’s only the beginning for us… this ain’t OVA!
Now on to #EliminationChamber with my sis“
Looking ahead, Belair is now shifting her focus to Elimination Chamber, where she will compete alongside Naomi. With WrestleMania season in full swing, their next move will be closely watched.
