Dragon Lee Wins WWE Speed Title – Dragon Lee has made history as the third-ever wrestler to hold the WWE Speed Championship, capturing the title in a dramatic match against Andrade on the November 19 episode of Speed. The match, which was taped at last Friday’s SmackDown event in Milwaukee, ran nearly the entire five-minute time limit allocated for Speed title bouts.
In the closing moments, Andrade seemed poised to win after countering Lee’s signature move, Operation Dragon. However, Lee managed to turn the tide with a well-executed inside cradle, pinning Andrade as he was in the middle of his Three Amigos sequence. The two competitors showed respect to each other afterward, shaking hands, with Andrade graciously placing the WWE Speed Championship around Lee’s waist.
Lee, Andrade, and Ricochet are the first three wrestlers to hold the WWE Speed Championship since the title’s introduction on X/Twitter earlier this year. After his victory, Lee took a moment to address his supporters, delivering a brief but heartfelt promo.
Looking ahead, Speed will shift its focus back to the women’s division next week, with the launch of a tournament to crown the number one contender for Candice LeRae’s WWE Speed Championship. The first round will feature exciting matchups such as Zelina Vega vs. Chelsea Green, Natalya vs. B-Fab, Katana Chance vs. Alba Fyre, and Michin vs. Ivy Nile, all of which will be showcased over the next few weeks.
