Former WWE personality and manager Cherry (Kara Elizabeth Drew) has expressed strong interest in lacing up her roller skates for a potential appearance in a future Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Speaking during an interview on the Rewind Recap Relive podcast, the former SmackDown personality addressed the possibility of making a one-off return to WWE. While acknowledging that her relatively brief run with the company alongside the depth of current NXT talent and returning legends might reduce her chances, she made her interest clear:
“I wasn’t there that long, so I think that works against me. And then now that there’s NXT and all of these people and veterans, it makes it harder for someone like me. I mean, I would love it. I’m open to it … I wasn’t really there that long, even though I feel like we had a memorable team. It would be great. I’m open to it. Fully open to it.”
Cherry is best remembered by fans as the 1950s-inspired, roller-skating manager for Deuce ’n Domino on SmackDown. The trio debuted on the main roster in 2007, quickly capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Following the split of the group, Cherry transitioned into a singles competitor within the division before her release in August 2008. Her final televised match saw her team with Maria and Michelle McCool against Maryse, Natalya, and Victoria. With WWE frequently utilizing nostalgia entrants for the annual 30-woman match, Cherry remains hopeful for a call.
