Former TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich has officially put pen to paper on a contract with Major League Wrestling (MLW). The star made an explosive arrival at the organization’s recent Fightland and Fusion television tapings in Charleston, South Carolina, immediately capturing the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship from Shotzi Blackheart.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Slamovich actually finalized her agreement with MLW back in early July. Creative plans had been locked in for months to align her with the dominant CONTRA Unit faction and launch her directly into a top-tier title program against Blackheart.
Slamovich pulled double duty at the tapings. Before capturing the championship during the Fusion block, she made her surprise debut during Fightland by attacking Clara Carter, taking her spot in a singles contest, and defeating Lady Frost. Later in the evening, she crashed a promo by Blackheart to set up their title match, dethroning the champion shortly thereafter.
The high-profile signing marks a major step forward for Slamovich, who returned to active competition in January 2026 after stepping away from the ring in late 2025 following domestic abuse allegations made by her former partner, AKIRA.
In additional corporate news for the promotion, MLW’s flagship Fusion series is expanded its distribution footprint and will begin airing on the free streaming platform Tubi.
