Shawn Spears Working as Producer for NXT – Shawn Spears is juggling multiple roles since his return to WWE. After moving from AEW back to WWE for a stint in NXT, “The Chairman” isn’t just wrestling; he’s also working behind the scenes as a producer.
According to reports from Fightful Select, Spears has been pulling double duty since his return to NXT. While he’s been busy in the ring, he’s also been stepping into the role of a producer. This change became noticeable during the April 16 episode of NXT, where Spears was seen shadowing NXT producer and coach Johnny Moss backstage at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL. He even helped out with the women’s matches on the show.
Spears joins the ranks of former WWE Superstars who have transitioned into producer roles in NXT, such as Matt Bloom, Oney Lorcan, and Wesley Blake.
It’s still uncertain if Spears will fully transition from being an active wrestler to a permanent producer like others before him.
