4/05 WWE SmackDown Draws Big Rating Numbers

4/05 WWE SmackDown Draws Big Rating Numbers – The WrestleMania go-home episode of WWE SmackDown on April 5 delivered impressive viewership numbers, averaging 2.6 million viewers on Fox. This marked an 18.1 percent increase from the previous week and represents the highest audience total for the show since August 25 of the previous year, which featured a tribute to Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk.

Notably, SmackDown dominated all of network television, doubling the closest competition, with a 0.77 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This reflects a significant 28.3 percent increase from the previous week and is also the highest rating the show has achieved since the August 25 episode.

These remarkable ratings were achieved despite facing stiff competition from the women’s Final Four March Madness game between Iowa and UConn, which set a record for a women’s basketball game with over 14 million viewers across ESPN and ESPN2.

In comparison to the same week in 2023, SmackDown’s viewership increased by 5.4 percent, while its 18-49 rating saw a notable uptick of 11.6 percent. This episode, traditionally airing post-WrestleMania, typically ranks among the highest-rated of the year.
