4/05 WWE SmackDown Results – We begin with a Meek Mill narrated open for tonight’s show and for Wrestlemania.
We are live from the Wells Fargo Center im Philadelphia, PA, as Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring in his role as host of the Kevin Owens Show.
Kevin stares at the Wrestlemania sign and then he welcomes everyone to a special edition of the Kevin Owens Show. It is not just special because it is Wrestlemania weekend. It is special because his guest is a legend in this industry. Every time he gets to share the ring with him, it means a lot to him. They are going to share the ring on Sunday but he wants to bring out Randy Orton.
They sit down in their chairs and Kevin shows that they spin around. Kevin says Sunday is a big match. Randy versus Kevin versus Logan Paul. Randy points at the shirt Kevin is wearing. Kevin shows that he put The Worst for Logan and He’s Cool for Randy. Kevin says they are united with their dislike and hatred for Logan Paul. Randy agrees. Kevin says he has a tough question for Randy. He asks on a scale of 1 to 10, how repulsive does he find Logan Paul.
Randy says he disagrees with everyone who is saying 10. Randy says he is an 11.
Logan shows up in the stadium and he says hello to Kevin and Randy. He points out that they are buddies. Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Logan says he is building empires in the real world. Logan says they are wasting time on the Kevin Owens Show. He says he is two steps ahead of them and he is thinking about his victory against Kevin and Randy.
Kevin says Logan talks a lot of trash for someone across the street. Randy agrees and he says they are very close. Randy asks Kevin if he is thinking what he is thinking.
Kevin and Randy leave the ring and they go through the crowd to go to the stadium.
Austin Theory and Grayson Waller come from under the ring and they chase after Kevin and Randy.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and Kevin and Randy are trying to get to the stadium but the car won’t open. Kevin gets in a golf cart and he drives over there. We see Theory and Waller chasing after them.
– We have a video package for Andre the Giant.
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Kit and Elton try to pick up Omos but Omos sends them to the mat and then Kit is thrown over the top rope to the floor and then Elton eliminates himself while everyone watches. Ivar hits Omos from behind and then people start to fight. Angel and Humberto are eliminated by Cruz and Joaquin. Joaquin and Cruz are pulled under the rope to the floor. Grimes is down on the floor so he was probably eliminated. Tozawa is sent ot the apron. Jinder is sent to the apron and Crews with a forearm to knock Jinder to the floor to eliminate him. Veer and Sanga eliminate Crews. Julius adn Brutus eliminate Veer and Sanga. Ivar with a spin kick to JD and Reed with a back senton. Omos picks up JD and picks him up high over his head for a choke slam. Luke punches Tozawa.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Omos slams Brutus and sends Julius into the ringside barrier after Omos eliminated Julius and Brutus during the break and he eliminated himself.. Wilde is pushed off the turnbuckles to the floor by Reed. Ivar eliminates Alexander. Ivar eliminates Adonis while Ricochet kicks Reed on the apron. Ivar with a boot to Otis and Reed and Ivar exchange forearms. Ivar and Reed go for cross bodies at the same time and they collide. Ricochet slips on the ropes and then Reed catches him on a springboard move. Ricochet goes to the apron and he kicks Reed and Ivar. JD pulls Ricochet off the apron to eliminate him.
Tozawa eliminates JD.
Tozawa is in the ring with Ivar, Reed, and Otis. Tozawa starts to rip his shirt and he tries to put it back together but he is squashed by Ivar and Reed. Otis blocks the spin kick of doom. Otis with a back elbow to ivar and a clothesline to Reed. The shirt comes off and Otis with a caterpillar and elbow to Reed. Ivar eliminates Otis and Tozawa with forearms to Ivar. Ivar with a kick to Tozawa and Ivar tosses Tozawa to the floor and Otis cannot catch him.
Ivar and Reed stand in the ring and appear to be the final two. They exchange clotheslines and do not move. Ivar with a kick and a cartwheel followed by a kick. Ivar with a back elbow and spin kick of doom. Ivar goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault and he misses. Reed with Rolling Thunder and a clothesline to send Ivar over the top rope to eliminate him.
Winner: Bronson Reed
– We take a look at what happened at the end of Raw.
– We see Solo SIkoa and Jimmy Uso walking in the parking lot earlier today, while Logan Paul walks through the hallway of the arena.
We go to commercial.
Backstage:
We go to Karrion Kross. He says he targeted Bobby to send a message. They didn’t have a spot for him. Kross asks if he should have sat out without Bobby? You are on Wrestlemania because he elevated things. On Sunday, they will light them up and they will have them with them for the rest of their lives.
In the Arena:
Logan Paul makes his way to the ring.
Logan says whoever made him spend a week in Philadelphia, he wants him fired. Logan says he sees a bunch of idiots. Of course you idiots cheer for Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. You are dummies, they are dummies. Like attracts like. Logan says he is wrestling two of the dumbest dudes in WWE. How does Randy have the head the size of an elephant and a brain the size of a peanut. Kevin is using his brain to think of how to digest his last meal. You are looking at a mastermind and a strategist. He is playing a game of cat and mouse. Right now, his associates, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory are about to lay an ambush on Randy and Kevin. He says he has eyes on the scene.
There is a cameraman on the scene and if you are squeamish, look away.
We see Theory and Waller on the stage and they are looking for Kevin and Randy. Waller says they followed them on the golf cart. Waller says he looked in the ring. They aren’t there.
Logan tells them to look while Kevin and Randy come from under the ring.
Logan looks around and he sees Kevin and he tries to get out of the ring but Owens stops him and sends Kevin into the ringside barrier. Randy with a kick and European uppercut. Kevin with a kick and stunner. The crowd and Kevin chant for an RKO. Randy punches the mat and Logan gets to his feet for Kevin to turn Logan into the RKO.
– We got hte back and Dragon Lee is down with Carlito calling for help. The rest of LWO, a doctor, and Nick Aldis join Rey and Zelina.
The LWO theme begin playing and they are told they have to head out to the ring. Rey Mysterio and the other members of the LWO head off with Zelina Vega, who is scheduled for one-on-one action in our next match of the evening. Carlito hangs back with Dragon Lee, who is still on the ground. Inside the arena, Vega makes her way to the ring accompanied by Rey.
On that note, we shift gears and head into a quick pre-match commercial break.
Zelina Vega vs. Elektra Lopez
The match is joined in progress and Vega with a jaw breaker and forearm. Lopez with a forearm and Vega fires back. Vega with a kick to the head and flying clotheslines. Vega sends Lopez into the turnbuckles and a kick in the corner. Vega with a running knee to the head followed by a running double knee strike. Vega gets a near fall. Vega goes to the turnbuckles and Lopez catches Vega and hits a uranage for a near fall. Lopez goes to the turnbuckles but Vega with a Tiger Feint Kick to teh leg and then Vega with a hammer lock DDT and the referee is distracted by Dom.
Vega with a forearm to Dom and Rey pulls Dom off the apron. Lopez grabs Vega and hits a sit out power bomb for the three count.
Winner: Elektra Lopez
After the match, Dom kicks Rey in the head and then he kicks Rey. Santos attacks Rey. Suddenly, Andrade clotheslines Rey and sends Santos to the floor. Vega is in shock at what Andrade just did. Andrade and Rey hug.
– Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill walk in the back.
We go to commercial.
In the Arena:
Naomi and Bianca Belair make their way to the ring.with separate entrances.
Bianca says she has the longest history with Damage CTRL. For two years, she has been fighting for her life week after week. It got so exhausting that she wanted to give up until Naomi showed up and reminded her what she was fighting for. Bianca says Damage CTRL has been doing way to much for far too long and it has to stop.
Naomi says that they were dragging Bianca all over the place. Naomi says they are going to Wrestlemania. They point to the sign.
Naomi says they needed each other to take on Damage CTRL, but they were still outnumbered.
Bianca says they have been on top too long and they got too cocky. They didn’t think someone else would come through to join them. Bianca mentions their partner Jade Cargill and she makes her way to the ring.
Jade thanks Bianca and Naomi. She wants to give a shout out to Damage CTRL. Those… women stepped up and got stepped on. They gave her the best opportunity on the grandest stage to show what she is all about. With the EST and the Glow, the big three will show why there is no Damage CTRL. You are now in the eye of the storm.
They all point to the Wrestlemania sign.
– Jey Uso is in the back and he says the Bloodline drama continues as he beats up his big little brother tonight and he faces his twin tomorrow. Jey gives us a YEET.
– New Catch Republic makes its way to the ring as we go to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and Rey is told that Dragon Lee is not cleared for Wrestlemania. Zelina says that Rey can’t take on Santos and Dom alone. Andrade says he will be Rey’s partner. Carlito shows up and he asks if Rey heard that Dragon is out. Zelina says that Andrade is taking his place. Carlito tells them to take care of business.
Match Number Three: Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne versus Austin Theory and Grayson Waller
Pete and Theory lock up and Theory with a wrist lock and Pete with a reversal and an arm bar but Theory gets to the ropes. Theory with a forearm on the break. Pete blocks a kick and gives Theory a dragon screw and he stomps on the leg. Bate tags in and hits a senton off Pete’s shoudlers. Bate with a drop kick and Waller tags in and Bate with a Greco Roman kncukle lock and a walking head scissors as Bate goes to the turnbuckles and gives Waller a take down. Bate with an airplane spin but turbulence comes from the apron from Theory. Pete goes for a pescado and Theory with a forearm. bate with a suicide dive to Theory. Waller with a punch and a tornado DDT onto the apron.
New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) vs. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller

Bate blocks a suplex attempt and Bate with a dead lift suplex of his own. Waller tries to stop Bate from making the tag and Pete tags in and he kicks Waller and Theory. Dunne with kicks in the corner to Waller and Bate. Dunne with a German suplex to Theory and a snap German suplex to Waller. Pete stomps on the hand and hits a drop kick. Pete goes for the fingers and Theory with a slingshot rolling drop kick. Bate with a punch to Theory but Waller with a jumping knee to Bate. Waller with a punch to Bate and Waller goes for a slingshot rolling move but Pete with a forearm.
Bate tags in and they hit the double Burning Hammer for the three count.
Winners: Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate
After the match THE Judgment Day attack all four men. Priest with choke slams to Pete and Bate. Finn gives Pete to Priest for a Razor’s Edge. JD with Devil Inside to Waller. Dom with a frog splash to Dunne. Priest with a choke slam to Theory and Finn with Coup de Grace.
– Bayley says she is no stranger to making history. The first women’s tag champ. First grand slam champion. She thought she should create someone groundbreaking… Damage CTRL. They shared a vision of taking over and they did. They were on top fo the world. Suddenly, it wasn’t about them any more. Iyo brought in her old best friends Asuka and Kairi Sane. She became an outcast. After a record breaking Royal Rumble win, Iyo didn’t believe in her.
Iyo says Bayley started Damage CTRL because she was lost. She wanted them to succeed so she could have the glory. They outgrew Bayley. There was a time when she saw Bayley as a friend and she will regret that for the rest of her life.
Bayley asks what was real. Were they her friend or did they use her. She created Damage CTRL and she will do everything to destroy it. She is better and stronger than she has ever been. Iyo will learn the hard way.
– Solo Sikoa wraps his wrist as he prepares for his match.

In the Arena:
We are back and LA Knight makes his way to the ring.
We take a look at what happened last week between AJ Styles and LA Knight.
Knight wants to talk to ya. He mentions AJ Styles and him at Wrestlemania. Two nights and he is feeling fresh. As he walks in, with the man that some call Phenomenal. He says he thinks AJ is phenomenal. He is phenomenal at not showing up and running away. He will be phenomenal at being stomped out by the Mega Star. This is how it goes down. There is no more time for running, just time for crying. He says AJ has been crying about him since he came back. You should be thanking him and bowing at the altar of LA Knight. When I put my boots to you, it gets people to talk about you. He is not just going to put the boots to ya, he is going to give him three the hard way and boot you through the uprights. They will know whose game it is.
Backstage:
B Fab says the story has been the same over the last few month. Y’all attack us and y’all attack us. On Sunday, there will be nowhere to hide. No corners to be peeking behind. They will finish this in a Philadelphia Street Fight. Bobby says you wanted to take it to the dark side and they will be there to finish it.
– Jey Uso makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.
Jey Uso vs. Solo Sikoa
Jey with punches and Solo pushes Jey away. Jey with an uppercut when Solo charges into the corner. Jey is sent to the apron and he kicks Solo from the apron. Jey pulls down the ropes and Solo goes over the top rope to the floor. Solo with a punch when Jey goes for a suicide dive. Solo with a uranage onto the apron.
We are back and Solo with a head lock. Jey with punches and Solo with a belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Solo punches Jey in the corner and adds a head butt. Solo sets for a running hip into the corner but misses when Jey moves. Jey with punches to Solo. Solo goes for a Samoan drop but Jey is able to get to his feet. Jey with a dragon whip. Jey with a running hip into the corner for a near fall. Jey charges at Solo and Solo with a Samoan drop. Solo sets for the Samoan Spike but Jey with a super kick and a second one but Solo stays on his feet. Jey with a spear and he goes up top for a frog splash and hits it and Jimmy breaks up the cover.
Winner: Jey Uso (by disqualification)
After the match, Jimmy punches Jey and he holds Jey for Solo to hit the Samoan Spike but before he can do it, Cody Rhodes music plays and Cody and Seth make their way to the ring while Jimmy and Solo watch. Cody and Seth go after Jimmy and Solo. Cody with a super kick to Jimmy and Seth with a super kick to Solo. Cody with a Cody Cutter to Solo. Cody pulls off a weight belt and he whips Solo and Jimmy with it.
Jey chases after Jimmy and brings him back into the ring for CrossRhodes and Seth whips Jimmy. Jey with a frog splash.
Cody says forty years of Wrestlemania. Can you feel that? Forty years of Wrestlemania. Talk about the pressure. Tomorrow night, himself and his partner and friend Seth Rollins… we are going to slap the Final Boss so hard his ego flies out of his body and he remembers what it is like to be the People’s Champion. They will shatter the foundation of the Bloodline and on Sunday he will dethrone Roman Reigns.
Cody says is fighting for everyone who has believed in him. Sunday, when one good story ends, an even better one begins.
