9/16 NXT Homecoming Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude.com’s coverage of WWE NXT for September 16, airing live from the Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
We are live from the Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, as Triple H makes his way to the ring to start the show.
He says he cannot tell you how good it feels to come home. These three letters are something special. This place, Full Sail, this building, this room, is something special. For every talent who walked out of that video board, for every production person, every staff, and every crew. Every student who was part of this process is special. He says what is really special about this is you. Everyone in this building. Eveyrone at home watching are special. You are why this is here. You are why NXT is stronger than ever. All of you took something that started as a whisper. You turned it into an undeniable roar.
Your passion for this and for all of the talent who did this for passion turned this into a roar. Your passion broke conventions. Your passion allowed for NXT to take over. It is on you. You are the ones who said NXT is the future. You are the ones who said that future was now. Yo uare the ones who stood on your feet and at the top of your lungs, you shouted ‘We are NXT’. He says he wants to stand out here for you and say thank you.
Shawn Michaels makes his way to the ring.
He says as he came walking out of that . . . video board, he says they are all thrilled that Paul is here. He is busy selling out Raw and Smackdown and making multi-billion dollar deals. Shawn says him and his superstars are ready to steer this shiip into the future.
Paul tells Shawn that they have knocked it out of the park. You are lighting the world on fire. What if Paul said he wanted to come back.
Shawn says he didn’t want this to get uncomfortable. He says they would have a very very big problem.
William Regal’s music plays and he makes his way to the ramp.
Regal says he knows how to settle this and there is one way. He says WAR GAMES!
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss come out and stand next to Regal on the ramp.
Alexa says she thinks they argue. Charlotte says they are besties. Charlotte tells Shawn and Triple H it doesn’t matter who was in charge, the women always ran NXT. The revolution started at Full Sail. Charlotte mentions the Four Horsewomen, Paige, Asuka, Carmella, Alexa Bliss.
Alexa mentions Charlotte. There are so many names. Rhea, Iyo, Ember, and Nia. She says the women have always been the backbone of NXT and that will never change. She says if you aren’t down with that, they have two words for you.
Lyra walks up to Tatum in the back and they hug.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair vs. Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
Alexa and Tatum start things off with their respective dolls in hand. The referee will not allow the dolls to be involved so they hand them over to their partners. THey lock up and Tatum sends Alexa tot he mat. Tatum ducks to avoid Alexa and Alexa hangs in the ropes. Alexa with a cross body for a near fall. Tatum escapes Sister Abigail. Alexa with an arm wringer and Tatum does some cartwheels. Alexa with a head scissors take down and Izzi and Flair tag in. Flair offers her hand and Izzi slaps it away. FLair with a chop and Izzi with a kick and she sends Flair into the turnbuckles. Flair sends Izzi into the turnbuckles and she chops Izzi. Izzi with a jaw breaker and she goes for a slam but Flair escapes and she clips Izzi. Alexa with a blockbuster while Flair hits Natural Selection.
Izzi and Tatum go to the floor. Flair mocks Spears and then she applies a side head lock and connects with a shoulder tackle. Flair with a thrust kick. Izzi with a back elbow and shoulder tackle. Izzi sends Flair to the mat and she kicks Flair. Izzi sends Flair face first into the mat. Flair with a Flair Flip and boot. Izzi with a boot and Tatum tags in. Izzi with a drop kick while Tatum traps Flair in the ropes. Tatum gets a near fall. Tatum sends Flair into the turnbuckles and connects with a series of kicks. Izzi tags in and kicks Flair. Tatum tags in and she goes for a suplex but Flair with an inside cradle for a near fall. Tatum with a running forearm and she gets a near fall.
Tatum with an Irish whip and a cross body into the corner. Izzi holds on to add more pressure. Izzi tags in and hits a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Izzi with a shoulder in the corner. Tatum tags in and she applies a rear chin lock. Tatum with a facebuster and Izzi tags in. Flair kicks Izzi and she sends Tatum onto the ramp. Flair with a kick and chops to Izzi. Flair chops Tatum and then Izzi takes a chop. Flair with many chops. Izzi with a boot followed by an enzuigiri from Tatum. Izzi with a Codebreaker for a near fall. Izzi slams Flair’s head into the mat. Izzi and Flair exchange slaps and then both go down. Tatum and Alex tag in and Alexa with a drop kick and punches followed by a knee and another drop kick.
Alexa with a Blockbuster for a near fall. Alexa runs into a back elbow and Alexa with an STO. Alexa goes up top but Izzi tries to stop her. Alexa kicks Izzi. Niko gets on tha apron but Flair pulls him off. Spears distracts Alexa and Tatum gets her knees up on Twistted Bliss. Tatum gets a near fall and the ropes cannot help her. Tatum with a Psycho Driver for a near fall. Flair and Izzi go to the floor. Tatum misses Alexa when Alexa moves. Alexa with a punch and Sister Abigail for the three count.
Winners: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
Zaria tells Sol that could have been them but you hit her with a Sol Snatcher. Sol asks if she can stop herself in midair. Sol brings up that Zaria speared her.
Lainey Reid shows up and tells Sol to worry about facing her at No Mercy.
Candice LeRae shows up and says she will win the match.
Shayna Baszler shows up and she tells everyone to save it. Shayna says she made history holding the title longer than anyone. Fix this. She says she has been a tag champion too. What you have . . . she tells them to apologize and fix it.
We go to commercial.
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa vs. Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes
Gargano and Hayes start things off and Gargano with a side head lock and Gargano with a rollup. Hayes misses a kick and they go to a standoff. Hayes with a kick and Trick tags in. Trick with a drop kick.and he goes for a slam but Gargano escapes and Ciampa tags in. Ciampa avoids a jumping side kick and Ciampa sends Trick and Hayes to the floor. Gargano with a suicide dive into Hayes and Trick. Ciampa and Trick return to the ring and Ciampa punches Trick from the turnbuckles. Ciampa with a punch to Hayes off the turnbuckles. Trick sends Ciampa to the floor. Trick with a kick and Hayes tags in and hits a springboard leg drop and he gets a near fall. Hayes with a clothesline and a scissors leg drop for a near fall. Hayes with a front face lock and Trick tags in and punches Ciampa.
Trick sends Ciampa to the floor and Trick chops Ciampa. Trick with another chop and they return to the ring. Trick with a hard Irish whip followed by a double thrust to the throat for a near fall. Trick with an Irish whip and Hayes tags in. Hayes with a kick and he runs into a boot. Ciampa with an elbow to Trick but Hayes with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Trick tags in and Hayes with a snap mare and Trick with a front face lock. Ciampa with a jaw breaker and Trick tries to stay on his feet. Trick with a thrust kick. Ciampa with a reverse DDT and both men are down. Hayes and Gargano tag in and Gargano with clotheslines and an enzuigiri to rick. Gargano with running double knee strikes to Hayes and Trick. Gargano with a clothesline and a bulldog on Trick and Hayes. Gargano goes for a slingshot spear on the ramp but Hayes catches him. Gargano escapes. Gargano sends Hayes into the ring and Gargano with a slingshot spear for a near fall.
Ciampa tags in and Hayes lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex. Trick with a jumping side kick and a spin kick to Ciampa. Trick with a flap jack to Gargano. Trick with a pop up uppercut. Hayes makes the tag and he hits La Mistica. Trick is not happy with Hayes and they are good . . . until Trick frowns and he hits a flying clothesline but he leaps over Hayes and takes down Gargano. Hayes with a springboard clothesline with Ciampa on Trick’s shoulders. Hayes gets a near fall. Gargano and Trick exchange strikes. Gargano with a super kick. Hayes with a Codebreaker. Ciampa with Project Ciampa on Hayes for a near fall. Trick gets his title belt and the referee takes it. Ciampa with a rollup on Trick and he hits Fairy Tale Ending. Gargano tags in and Hayes pushes Trick out of the way on the knee and super kick combination. Hayes with chops to Ciampa and Gargano. Gargano and Ciampa hit Shatter Machine on Hayes. Ciampa and Gargano with the knee and super kick combination but Trick breaks up the cover.
Ciampa punches Trick and they go to the floor. Miz hits a Skull Crushing Finale on Gargano on the floor and then Hayes hits Nothin But Net for the three count.
Winners: Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes
Tyler Breeze prepares for his title match.

Kelly Kincaid is with Sami Zayn and she asks him how does it feel to be back.
Sami says one of his favorite matches happened in this building. There were so many guys with so much potential and it is the same today.
Kelly asks if anyone stands out.
Sami mentions Je’Von Evans.
Josh Briggs shows up and says that Evans is a bum and he hasn’t done anything.
Evans attacks Briggs and Sami tells Evans to forget about him. Sami says he came here to talk to Evans. You have something they can’t teach. You have heart. You have a big future. It is not going to come easy. He says the sky is the limit for Evans. He wishes Je’Von luck.
Ethan Page vs. Tyler Breeze for the Men’s North American Championship
They lock up and Page with a side head lock. Page with a shoulder tackle and he relaxes on the turnbuckles and mocks Breeze. They lock up and Page with a side head lock. Page with a shoulder tackle and Breeze with a drop kick. Breeze shows Page how to lay down on a turnbuckle pad. Breeze with a thrust kick and spinning heel kick. Page with an Irish whip and Breeze floats over. Page with a punch. Page punches Breeze. Page sends Breeze into the turnbuckles. Page with punches to Breeze. Page with a facebuster and he chokes Breeze in the ropes. Page with punches and he sends Breeze into the turnbuckles. Page with punches to Breeze against the ropes. Page goes to the floor when Breeze moves. Breeze with flying forearms but Page with a clothesline. Page gets a near fall.
Page with a running boot to the head for a near fall. Page with another boot to the head. Breeze escapes Twisted Grit and Page gets off Breeze’s shoulders. Breeze escapes Ego’s Edge and Breeze with a drop kick. Breeze with a flying forearm. Breeze with a kick from the apron and Page drops down when Breeze slides back into the ring. Breeze with a rana for a near fall. Page with a kick and face buster. Page with Ego’s Edge for a near fall. Page with punches and Breeze with kicks to Page. Breeze wrings Page’s leg into the ring post. Breeze goes for a figure four leg lock around the ring post. Breeze with a body scissors into a single leg crab. Page gets to the ropes but Breeze pulls Page back into the ring. Page with a rollup for a near fall. Breeze with a super kick for a near fall.
Breeze sets for the Unprettier and Page escapes. Breeze lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt. Breeze goes for a tornado DDT but Page with a boot. Breeze puts Page against the turnbuckles and Breeze with a thrust kick followed by a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Breeze goes to the turnbuckles and Page crotches Breeze. Page with a hanging Twisted Grit for the three count.
Winner: Ethan Page
Damian Priest tells Tavion Heights he knows how to take Page down. Priest says Tavion is close to taking it to the next level. He says it clicked for him against Finn Balor. Then he won the North American title. He mentions his celebration after winning the title. He says he sees that in Tavion’s corner. Priest says Tavion is facing Ethan Page for the North American title at No Mercy.
Priest tells Tavion if he needs any advice, he can ask him.
Grayson Waller walks in HALLWAY.
We go to commercial.
We are back with the Grayson Waller Effect and his guests are in the ring, Ricky Saints and Oba Femi.
Waller says the idiot NXT fans will cheer for anyone, but who will win? Obarated or Ricky Soft?
Oba calls Waller a puppet. He says he will humor him tonight. Oba tells Ricky he is not very special. Ever since you signed with NXT, you act like you are the best thing since sliced bread. Despite everything you have going for you, he cannot help but be underwhelmed by Ricky. Oba says he eats, sleeps, and breathes this title. You are just looking to get to the main roster to carry Cody Rhodes’ bag. He will show Ricky the door and he can carry as many bags as he wants, but he cannot carry the title.
Ricky says Oba is not familiar with his game. Ricky says Oba was scouted and sponsored. What is Oba Femi without the title? You act like you have a warrior spirit, but you act like a pampered athlete. Ricky says he grinded it. He tried out eight years ago and he got home and received an automated email saying no Ricky realized a delay is not a denial so he bets on himself. What he gives to this business means everything He will not be denied of the title.
Trick Williams comes out and he tells Oba that he is holding what still belongs to him. Trick tells Ricky to mind his business while grown folks are talking. This started before you got here. You are here because Trick and Oba made this possible.
Waller says he will talk to Ava and Santino to set up a Title versus Title Match. Then the winner faces Ricky Saints at No Mercy.
Oba takes Waller’s mic. He says he will beat Trick next week and take that TNA title. He will defend both titles against Ricky at No Mercy.
Wren Sinclair tells Charlie she has some new ideas. Charlie says they need to focus and he is going to go to Japan for a month and he needs her to hold things down.
Wren says GLOROIUS because Bobby Roode is there. She asks him to do it and he does.
Joe Hendry shows up for no reason.
Bobby Roode says as a former TNA champion, seeing him walk down the aisle with the title at Wrestlemania is GLORIOUS. Now that Joe is in NXT, he needs to go after the North American title.
Joe says it means the world to him for Bobby to say that about him.
Charlie tells Wren not to do anything he wouldn’t do.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Lexis King is in the ring. Who better to celebrate with than the flesh and blood of NXT, the face of NXT . . . Lexis King. He says he has something to say, but it might ruffle a few feathers. The Black and Gold Era of NXT is overrated. It does not hold up to the standard of today’s wrestling. It doesn’t matter how much you cheer the stars of the past, they don’t care about you. They have moved on. He says he is here and he is a star. There is a target on his back. That is why he was assaulted by Myles Borne. He was beaten to a pulp with a chair in the dark. He says Myles is an evil and vile deaf man. They will have a Lights Out match next week.
The lights go out and Finn Balor appears. He makes his way to the ring.
Myles Borne attacks King and Finn decides to hit Coup de Grace.
We are told that the title versus title match is official for next week. Lainey Reid faces Candice LeRae in the finals of the Speed Tournament.
Kelly Kincaid is with Dark State and she almost mentions his name.
Shugars says they are still champion.
Montez Ford shows upand Dark State asks if he is lost. Osiris says that he is here to say he has a problem.
Ford says he sees the tag titles. You are home together and he says he wishes he knew that feeling. Ford tells them to worry about the targets on their backs.
Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkyria & Stephanie Vaquer vs. Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx
Jacy knocks Rhea to the floor and Fallon and Jazmyn go after Lyra and Stephanie. Jacy with a cannonball to Rhea.
Fallon with a forearm and Jacy with a back senton to Vaquer for a near fall. Jacy with a thrust kick but Vaquer with a rollup for a near fall. Vaquer with a rollup and bridge for a near fall. Jacy with a rana to Vaquer followed by a hip into the corner but Vaquer holds on and sends Jacy int othe turnbuckles Vaquer with a drop kick and Lyra tags in. Lyra with a cross body and forearm to Jacy. Lyra with kicks to Nyx and Fallon. Lyra with a cartwheel and an enzuigiri. Rhea with a head butt to Fallon. Nyx punches Rhea and Vauqer with a super kick. Rhea with a Razor’s Edge onto Jacy and Fallon. L Lyra sends Jacy back into the ring and connects with knees and gets a near fall. Fallon with a knee to Lyra’s back and Jacy with a thrust kick. Jacy sends Lyra into the turnbuckles and she kicks Lyra. Fallon tags in and kicks Lyra.

Fallon and Nyx with stereo blockbuster and Jacy tags in and hits a running knee for a near fall after knocking Rhea off the apron.
Lyra with a crucifix for a near fall. Jacy with a waist lock. Lyra iwth elbows and a standing switch. Lyra with a Doctor Bomb. Vaquer and Nyx tag in. Vaquer with a cross body and a suplex. Vaquer with Eat Defeat to Fallon. Vaquer with running knees to Nyx and Fallon. Vaquer sets for SVB but Jacy breaks it up. Nyx with a jumping heel kick. Falon tags in and Fallon with a catapult into a Pele Kick for a near fall. Fallon chops Vaquer. Jacy tags in and Fallon runs into a boot Rhea tags in and she drop kicks Nyx off the apron Rhea with a series of short arm clotheslines and a fallaway slam. Rhea sets for a Razor’s Edge but Fallon makes the save. Vaquer with a forearm to Fallon and Rhea and Stephanie with belly-to-back suplexes. Lyra drop kicks Nyx to the floor and she hits a drop kick through the ropes.
Booker prepares for his moment as Rhea joins Vaquer with stereo Devil’s Kisses. Vaquer sends Fallon into the announce table and apron.
Jacy has had enough and Lola Vice forces Jacy back to the ring. Lola with a spinning back fist that the referee does not see. Rhea with RipTide for the three count.
Winners: Lyra Valkyria, Stephanie Vaquer, and Rhea Ripley
Trick and Oba stare at each other while Ava talks about how her phone is blowing up. Regal says he doesn’t envy her.
Oba says may the best man win. Trick says he will.
