Tiffany Stratton Pulled from NXT Homecoming, Replacement Announced – Tiffany Stratton will not be competing at WWE NXT Homecoming on September 16, as she has not been medically cleared to wrestle.
NXT General Manager Ava made the announcement following Stratton’s WWE Women’s Championship match against Jade Cargill on SmackDown, which ended in a double count-out. The post-match angle saw Nia Jax hit Stratton with the annihilator, leaving her unable to participate in her scheduled Homecoming match.
Stratton was originally slated to team with Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer against Fatal Influence (Jazmyn Nyx, Fallon Henley, and Jacy Jayne). Instead, former NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria will step in as her replacement. Ava confirmed the change in a statement shared with fans:
“After her WWE Women’s Championship Match on SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton is not medically cleared to compete at Homecoming. As a result, former NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria will be taking her place in the six-woman tag team match against Fatal Influence.”
With this change, the updated card for NXT Homecoming is as follows:
- Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkyria & Stephanie Vaquer vs. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx)
- NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs. Tyler Breeze
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley
- Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes vs. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa
- The Grayson Waller Effect with NXT Champion Oba Femi and Ricky Saints
