Update on Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Status Ahead of Wrestlepalooza – Stephanie Vaquer’s recent absence from WWE RAW has sparked questions, but a new update suggests fans won’t have to worry about her long-term status. Vaquer last wrestled on July 28 in an all-star tag match on RAW and was scheduled for this week’s show in Milwaukee. However, General Manager Adam Pearce announced that she could not appear, even though she surprised fans with a cameo on WWE NXT the following night.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Vaquer is believed to be dealing with a “minor injury.” While Meltzer admitted he did not have the full details, WWE sources assured him that the situation was “nothing to worry about” and that Vaquer would be back in the ring soon. His co-host Bryan Alvarez, however, pushed back, saying that he had heard Vaquer was not injured at all.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding her absence, WWE has already confirmed her return to action. Vaquer is scheduled for next week’s NXT Homecoming special, teaming with Rhea Ripley and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton against Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx). The event, which celebrates NXT’s past and present, will be held at Full Sail University, a longtime home for the brand.
Vaquer’s comeback will set the stage for her biggest WWE opportunity yet. At Wrestlepalooza on September 20 in Indianapolis, she will face IYO SKY for the vacant WWE Women’s World Championship. The title was relinquished last month by Naomi, who announced she is expecting a child.
With Vaquer’s Wrestlepalooza match quickly approaching, WWE appears confident that her absence from RAW was only a minor setback — if one at all.
