Kristal Marshall Announces Return to Pro Wrestling – Kristal Marshall’s path to WWE stardom was anything but ordinary, and now she’s preparing for a wrestling return that ties back to her family roots. Speaking on The Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val, the former Diva discussed her early years in entertainment, her memories of the WWE “Diva” era, and her upcoming role in the launch of All Caribbean Wrestling.
Before WWE, Marshall worked as a model on two well-known game shows. At just 20 years old, she took a chance on The Price Is Right, but her run ended quickly in an unusual way. “I actually got fired from that show because I was too short, believe it or not… too small for the set. So they canned me,” she recalled. She then moved on to Deal or No Deal, where she appeared on the pilot episode and had a brief encounter with Meghan Markle. “I met her once, but I wouldn’t say I worked alongside her,” Marshall explained, joking about the irony of possibly having crossed paths with royalty years before Markle married Prince Harry.
Not long after, Marshall entered the 2005 WWE Diva Search. Though she didn’t win, WWE signed her, and she became a featured talent on SmackDown during the height of the Diva era. Looking back, she reflected on that period fondly, saying, “I feel like the Divas and the Knockouts and the women of wrestling, we were of that era — the full glam, the pageantry, all of that.”
In recent years, Marshall has shifted focus to her family. She spoke about enjoying cooking, traveling, and watching her kids’ athletic pursuits, while staying grounded in her personal relationships.
Now, she’s set to re-enter the wrestling business with All Caribbean Wrestling. For Marshall, this project is especially meaningful, as it will debut in Barbados — the homeland of her family. “I am so excited about all of it. My family is from Barbados. I’m first-generation American. I am a dual citizen,” she said. “So the show that I’m going to be a part of is in Barbados. So it’s like a huge homecoming of a sort… It’s a beautiful place, and it’s an opportunity for wrestling to expand in the heart of the Caribbean.”
