A heated physical confrontation on television has officially turned into a high-stakes title fight, as Mercedes Mone is set to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Marina Shafir at the AEW Full Gear 2026 pay-per-view on November 14.
The rivalry escalated dramatically at AEW Fright Night Dynamite when Shafir called out the champion. The intense faceoff turned physical when Mone slapped Shafir, who responded by daring Mone to strike her again. As Shafir attempted to retaliate, Ace Austin, David Finlay, and Clark Connors launched a surprise ambush on Jon Moxley at the commentary table.
The title match was officially sanctioned on AEW Fright Night Collision, adding another major bout to the pay-per-view lineup.
