Chelsea Green Pushes for Ethan Page’s Main Roster Call-Up – Chelsea Green is putting her full support behind NXT North American Champion Ethan Page and is openly campaigning for his eventual move to WWE’s main roster.
In a new interview with USA Today, Green said she feels a personal responsibility to ensure Page is recognized as a legitimate main roster-caliber performer. The two have recently aligned on NXT programming as the “Canadian saviors,” and Green made it clear she hopes the partnership will continue if Page gets the call-up.
“(Page) absolutely deserves everything in wrestling that he’s ever got, and now I feel like it’s my job to make sure the main roster sees him as a main roster talent,” Green stated. Reports have already suggested internal discussions about bringing both of them up together.
Green also emphasized the strength of her faction, the “Green Regime,” which currently features Piper Niven and Alba Fyre on SmackDown. She believes Page adds another layer of credibility to the group. “I also hope that he stays with us. I think that we’ve learned so much from him, he’s learned so much from us, and we have just made kind of the perfect unit,” she said.
Page’s future will first see him tied up in NXT business. On the September 9 episode of NXT, he lost a Flag Match to Tavion Heights after the shocking return of Tyler Breeze. WWE has since confirmed that Page and Breeze will clash at the upcoming NXT Homecoming special on September 16, a card that will also feature appearances by main roster names such as Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
If Page’s eventual main roster move keeps him aligned with Green, the Green Regime could soon grow into one of WWE’s most influential factions across multiple brands.
