Dominik Mysterio Wins AAA Mega Championship at Worlds Collide – The main event of WWE x AAA Worlds Collide saw Dominik Mysterio defeat El Hijo del Vikingo to capture the AAA Mega Championship, adding the title to his already held WWE Intercontinental Championship.
The match was filled with chaos from the start, as Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor and J.D. McDonagh attempted to swing the momentum in Dominik’s favor. Dragon Lee rushed out to even the odds, but was quickly overwhelmed until Rey Mysterio arrived, fighting off Bálor and McDonagh to restore balance.
Inside the ring, Vikingo hit his trademark 630 splash and appeared to have the match won, but El Grande Americano pulled the referee out before the three-count could be made. This gave Dominik time to recover and land a frog splash, though the replacement referee only counted to two.
Later, Vikingo tried to unmask El Grande, but in the chaos, El Grande handed Dominik a foreign object. Now wearing a mask himself, Dominik hid the weapon inside it and delivered a devastating torpedo headbutt that knocked Vikingo out cold. He followed with another frog splash, this time securing the victory and the championship.
After the match, Dominik demanded Rey Mysterio honor his pre-match declaration by putting the championship belt around his waist. Rey hesitated, but Dominik shoved the belt at him and told his father to “put the fcking belt”* around him. Rey complied before being ordered out of the ring by his son.
Judgment Day—Bálor, McDonagh, Roxanne Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez—joined Dominik in the ring to celebrate, with El Grande Americano also aligning himself in the moment. Dominik now holds both the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the AAA Mega Championship, cementing himself as a double champion.
