WWE Officially Announces WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia – WWE has officially announced that WrestleMania 43 will be held in Saudi Arabia, marking the first time in history that the company’s biggest annual event will take place outside of the United States.
The confirmation came during a closed press conference in Las Vegas, two days after Turki Alalshikh — Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority — revealed on a Snapchat live video that the Kingdom would host the show. The event will be staged as part of the Riyadh Season, Saudi Arabia’s major entertainment initiative.
At the press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque welcomed Alalshikh on stage before officially announcing the news. The event is being positioned as one of the most ambitious productions WWE has ever staged, with expectations that it will break new ground for WrestleMania’s global reach.
Several WWE Superstars and Hall of Famers were in attendance, including The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Logan Paul, Stephanie Vaquer, and current World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
In one of the highlights of the event, The Undertaker delivered a special message, urging fans across the globe to travel to Saudi Arabia to be part of the historic WrestleMania.
The announcement confirms months of speculation about WWE’s expanding relationship with Saudi Arabia through the Riyadh Season partnership. With the Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority heavily involved in the event, WrestleMania 43 is expected to be one of the largest and most expensive productions in wrestling history.
