3/8 WWE SmackDown Results – We start off with a look back at last week’s Smackdown when Rock made the challenge to Seth and Cody for Night One of Wrestlemania.
– We see a pick up truck arrive at the building earlier today and Rock emerges, with a cowboy hat and he stands next to the truck for a moment before he mosies with security behind him.
– We see Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman with his own security detail.
– We see Cody Rhodes arrive earlier with Seth Rollins. They are greeted by Nick Aldis and their personal security detail.
We are live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, as the United States Champion Logan Paul makes his way to the ring.
Logan says Dallas is his city of firsts. Two years ago, Logan wrestled his first Wrestlemania in Dallas (sic). Tonight, y’all will be the first to see history unfold before your eyes. If you know anything about him, he is a conqueror. Logan refuses to play the ‘what’ games and he says he didn’t join the WWE to take part, he joined to take over. He had the best rookie year, he is the US Champion. He says everything he touches turns to gold. No one garners attention like him. Since his first appearnce, they have broken records. Logan says he is the secret sauce and the business is booming. One could almost say that the WWE is in it’s PRIME.
Logan says he has a surprise for Dallas. He asks for a drumroll.
We see a Prime logo on the center of the mat. He says his company has partnered with the WWE to be the first ever center ring sponsor of this organization. Starting at Wrestlemania and every PPV thereafter. Now, he wants to welcome England’s finest and his partner in crime to the ring… KSI.
Logan says a moment like this deserves a photo.
Randy Orton’s music plays to interrupt the moment. Orton does not make his way to the ring down the aisle, but he emerges from under the ring and he goes for an RKO on Logan but Logan escapes. Logan doesn’t say anything to KSI and he backs into an RKO.
Randy grabs a bottle and smells it and then he takes a drink and he says it is very good and then he pours it on KSI.
We go to commercial.
Kevin Owens and Randy Orton vs. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory
Owens and Theory start things off and they alternate waist locks. Owens with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Owens with an arm drag into an arm bar. Theory with a kick on the break and punches. Kevin with a back elbow and a back senton. Waller tags in and Kevin thinks about tagging in Randy and Randy wants it so Kevin does it. They lock up and Orton backs Waller into the corner. Randy with a break and he pokes Waller in the eyes. Orton climbs the turnbuckles and he punches Waller. Orton gives Theory punch ten to knock him off the apron. Waller with a forearm to the back of Orton’s head. Orton kicks Waller and Theory and hits a European uppercut. Kevin tags in and clotheslines Theory many times in the corner. Theory with an Irish whip and Owens sends Theory to the apron. Theory with a slingshot rolling drop kick. Waller tags in and he knocks Orton off the apron and then Waller with a clothesline to Owens.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Owens punches Theory and Waller. Theory with a kick and punches. Waller tags in and they set for a double suplex and hit it. Waller mocks Orton by pounding the mat and he goes for an RKO but Owens sends Waller into Theory. Orton tags in and Randy with two clotheslines and he ducks a clothesline from Waller. Orton with a power slam and then he puts Waller in the ropes. Theory distracts Orton and Waller drops Orton on the top rope. Owens with a cannonball to Theory but Waller sends Owens into the ringside barrier. Orton with an IEDDT to Waller. Orton twists to the mat to show Waller how it is done. Orton goes after Theory when he gets on the apron. Waller with a rollup for a near fall. Waller with a punch and Theory tags in. Owens with a kick and stunner to Waller. Owens sends Theory into the air for an RKO from Orton and the three count.
Winners: Kevin Owens and Randy Orton
After the match, Logan Paul attacks Orton and Owens. Logan grabs the brass knuckles and he waits for Orton to turn around. Orton kicks Logan and takes the brass knuckles. Orton misses Logan and almost accidentally hits Owens.
– We see the Raw Guest Star Security standing outside Cody and Seth’s signs on their locker room door.
We go to commercial.
– We are back with a video package for Iyo Sky and Bayley.
– Kayla Braxton is with Bayley and she asks about Dakota Kai and what she did last week. Bayley says she is living by a thread. While they have been fake to her for months, she wonders what is real. Did they believe in her or did they use her? Then Dakota. Last week, she used their history against them. Dakota manipulated her and tricked her. Bayley says she fell for it. Kayla asks if Bayley had it coming. Bayley says she has made a number of enemies, but she was trying to get to the top. She would do anything for Dakota and Iyo and she did not care who she angered. Now, everything is backfiring and she is alone. Kayla asks about her preparation for Wrestlemania. Bayley says they made the biggest mistake of their lives by underestimating her. Bayley says she can adapt. She will do everything to break them.
Backstage:
We see Naomi watching MONITOR and Bianca shows up and asks why is Naomi watching this because Bayley brought this on herself. Naomi says she feels bad. Bianca says Bayley created it and she does not feel bad. Naomi says she isn’t cool with the situation. Bianca says that Naomi wasn’t here to see what happened. Bayley made her bed and she needs to lay in it.
Time for another commercial.
Bobby Lashley vs. Karrion Kross
They lock up and Lashley with a knee and forearms to the back. Lashley with an Irish whip and a clothesline into the corner. Lashley with shoulders in the corner and a forearm. Lashley with an Irish whip and he runs into a boot in the corner. Kross with punches and a fisherman suplex. Kross stomps on Lashley and Lashley with a Northern Lights suplex and a clothesline to send Kross over the top rope to the floor. Lashley sends Kross into the ringside barrier. Lashley gets Kross on his shoulders but Scarlett blocks the path to the ring post. Kross gets to his feet and he punches Lashley and sends him into the ring post.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Kross with a cross arm breaker. Kross with a kick to the ribs followed by a gutwrench suplex for a near fall. Kross with a rear chin lock. Kross sends Lashley to the floor and he follows. Lashley with a clothesline and he gets Kross on his shoulders and runs Kross into the ring post. Lashley sends Kross back into the ring and he sets for a spear but Kross moves. Lashley goes for a full nelson but Kross fights it off and sends Lashley into the turnbuckles. Kross with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Kross gets Lashley up again but Lashley escapes. Kross wit a back elbow. Lashley avoids a clothesline and hits a choke slam. Lashley sets for the spear but Akam and Rezar attack Lashley.
Winner: Bobby Lashley (by disqualification)
After the match, Dawkins and Ford make their way to the ring and they clear the ring.Ford goes for a pescado but Akam and Rezar catch him. Dawkins with a splash onto everyone. Lashley with a flatliner and he goes for the full nelson but Scarlett stops him. B Fab shows up and slaps Scarlett.
Lashley applies the full nelson, but Akam and Rezar stop Lashley. Ford is sent over the top rope to the floor while Akam and Rezar punch Lashley. Kross joins in as they work over Lashley. Kross with Final Prayer to Lashley.
– We take a look at the issues between Legado and the LWO, including the return of Rey Mysterio.
Backstage:
Dragon Lee is stopped by Elektra Lopez. She says he looks so cute. He looks like a little Rey Mysterio. She says you aren’t going to be the next Rey Mysterio. Santos, Angel, and Humberto say he is not going to be the next Rey Mysterio. Santos says that the LWO is in the past. The future is Legado del Fantasma. He says that Lee is nothing. Santos pushes Lee to the ground.
– We see the mass of humanity in front of DOOR for Cody and Seth.
Back to commercial and… it’s Tiffy Time next!
Tiffany Stratton vs. Michin
Michin avoids a clothesline and gets a near fall with a back slide. Tiffany blocks a kick and send Michin to the mat by the hair. Tiffany sends Michin into the turnbuckles and she goes around the ring. Michin blocks Tiffany’s attempt and she chops Tiffany. Tiffany with a drop toe hold to send Michin into the turnbuckles. Tiffany with a back handspring elbow into the corner followed by a double stomp for a near fall. Tiffany chokes Michin in the ropes. Tiffany with a punch but Michin with punches of her own. Tiffany with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Tiffany kicks Michin in the back and chokes her in the ropes again. Tiffany gets Michin up on her shoulders but Michin gets back to her feet and she hits a suplex. Michin sets for a Styles Clash but Tiffany counters with an Alabama Slam. Tiffany with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the three count.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton
Backstage:
AJ Styles says this is for LA Knight and anyone else wondering why he flew around the world to do what he did at Elimination Chamber. He says he saw Knight walk around like he ran the place. You don’t deserve to be in the same locker room as him. AJ says he thought it was funny until you stole momentum at his expense. AJ says he knows this is a cutthroat place to be. You are an overachieving, under talented, loudmouth in need of humbling. AJ says he is a Phenomenal Choice for the job.
Backstage:
LA Knight is in the back watching MONITOR. Knight hits MONITOR with a chair. He takes out his frustration on MONITOR and he says she hopes AJ shows up next week.
We go to commercial.
– The Official Bloodline Security remains outside his door.
– We see Tyler Bate playing WWE 2K24 and he talks about winning the tag titles. Tyler says he will talk to Nick to get a tag title match.
Angel Garza vs. Dragon Lee
Lee punches Angel and hits a drop kick in the corner. Lee with a leg sweep and a slingshot drop kick. Lee stomps on Garza in the corner and hits a hesitation drop kick for a near fall. Lee with a chop and Garza’s knee gives out on a leap frog. Garza reveals that he is fine and he hits a drop kick. Garza with punches and a running knee that knocks Lee off the apron.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Angel with an Irish whip and Lee floats over and hits a sit out power bomb. Lee with punches and a flying forearm or two. Lee with a thrust kick and super kick followed by an enzuigiri. Lee is sent to the apron and he kicks Angel. Lee goes up to but Garza with a back elbow to stop him. Angel sets for a rana but Lee crotches Garza and hits a double stomp. Angel rolls to the floor and Lee with a flip dive onto Angel and Humberto. Lee sends Angel back into the ring and he runs into a super kick. Garza goes for a power bomb but Lee with a rana for the three count.
Winner: Dragon Lee
After the match, Angel, Humberto, and Santos attack Lee and they hit a Cerberus Bomb.
– Dakota says boo hoo Bayley. You say you pur your heart into this group, but Dakota says she was always the brains. Kairi says if you swere smarter, you would have seen it coming. Asuka calls Bayley a has been. Iyo says Bayley was never part of their vision, it was always Iyo’s.
Backstage:
Nick knocks on the door and no one answers. Nick opens the door and no one is in there. Nick tells security they need to go.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and next week, Bayley will face Dakota Kai. Rey Mysterio will be on Smackdown next week.
In the Arena:
Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso. The Rock is next and he gets a HUGE pop. (about ten minutes of entrances).
Rock and Roman stand around as Roman is handed the mic by Paul. Roman tells Dallas that greatness stands before them now. They do the handshake and Roman tells everyone to acknowledge them.
Cody Rhodes’ music plays and he comes through the crowd with Seth coming down another aisle.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Cody and Seth make their way over the ringside barrier as SECURITY surrounds the ring.
All four men stand in the ring.
Cody says it is tense and there is a lot of bad blood. Cody says he is happy to be standing in this ring. He says the four of them should feel this in a sold out arena in Dallas.
Cody tells the Rock that he heard his challenge and the stipulations that come with said challenge. A tag team match at Wrestlemania. Cody asks Rock if he has the authority to make that stipulation. Last week, you acknowledged Roman as your tribal chief. Cody says they can cut through all of this. You want an answer.
Rock tells Cody to shut his mouth. Rock tells the walking clown show to shut his mouth before he starts talking. Before you say something stupid and accept this challenge, Rock wants to drop some gospel. He says he acknowledged Roman as the tribal chief because that is what family does. Wrestlemania, night one, he wants to mention the stakes. If you beat Rock and Roman on Night One, on Night Two, you will be free of the Bloodline. You will be free to achieve that story and the dream of your dad. When the Rock and Roman beat you, then on Night Two, it is Bloodline Rules. He will do everything in his power to make sure you don’t walk out Champion.
Seth tells The Rock to shut the hell up. Seth says they know the stakes. The future of the industry are on the line and he tells Mr. Midlife Crisis that you had your time and you can’t have theirs. Seth says their answer is they accept the match.
Roman laughs and he asks Cody if he is going to let Seth answer for him. He says Cody must be an idiot and be from Texas. Are you going to let this crossdresser make your future decisions. Roman says when he beats Cody, it is over. You don’t get another shot. Your story is over. It is done for you.
Rock says it is over and he tells Seth and Cody to listen to him. He will do everything in his power and ensure that Cody does not win and Seth will lose that title. Rock says he is on the board so he is their boss. If you do not complete this story, you will never ever get a shot at this again. Rock says this is family. Their grandfathers are looking down. Your father is looking down. You are the youngest of three? Your sister was a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys? Your brother is a future hall of famer? You are twenty years younger than your siblings because you are a mistake.
Cody slaps Rock.
We go to credits.
