3/1 WWE SmackDown Results – After a look back at highlights from Elimination Chamber, we are live from the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ, The Bloodline music hits and Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring accompanied by Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman.
Paul hands Roman the mic and it is time for some acknowledging.
Roman says it used to be louder. He says he knows it isn’t him, it has to be you. Roman calls Glendale ‘Phoenix’ and he wants more acknowledging. Roman says he is going to try this one more time and if you don’t get on his page, he has fulfilled his obligation and he is leaving. Roman asks for a second acknowledging from Glendale. Roman is not happy and he says they are done here. He says this appearance is done and he tells Paul to start up the jet.
Paul tells Roman that there is other business so they can’t leave yet. Paul says he is coming out. Paul says in just a moment, the People’s Champ, the greatest movie star of all time will be out here live… THE ROCK! After this commercial break.
We go to commercial.
We are back and The Rock makes his way to the ring.
Rock asks the people if they are sure they want to boo the Rock. He says he has some good news to spare. You might like it or you might be proud of it. He says Glendale is 10 miles away from Phoenix. He asks if there are a lot of people from Phoenix tonight. He says that makes sense. He says this is a fact. The number one city in America for cocaine and meth use is Phoenix, Arizona.
That means . . . FINALLY, your life has meaning because you cactus loving crack heads finally have something to shoot in your veins. He says that he has FINALLY come back to Arizona.
Roman does not look too excited and Rock looks at his cousin.
He says he is in a good mood and everyone else in the Bloodline is in a good mood. They are in a good mood because professional wrestling is cool. It is exciting. It is electrifying once again. It is why Birmingham, Salt Lake City, this crack den with popcorn is sold out. Dallas is sold out. Memphis will sell out in two weeks. It is greatness among you. Wrestling is cool again because of him, Roman Reigns, and the Bloodline.
Do you know who is not cool? Your hero Cody Rhodes. He asks Cody if he thinks he is tough and he wants to go one on one with him. Rock says he hears you and sees you and here is his answer. Rock says the answer is no. Do you think you can go one on one with the Great One because you want to? It does not go that way. Everyone wants to go one on one with the Rock, including every woman in this arena. He tells the crackhead Karens and the MethHead Marys to calm down because they can’t handle the twenty-two inches. He says it isn’t what you are thinking, it is the guns he will wrap around Cody.
You can’t go one on one with the Rock. You have a title match against the most dominant champion in history. Rock says they had a good laugh and they have a counter-offer.
Rock tells Cody if you think you and your new best friend are tough. He says, on Night One of Wrestlemania, the biggest tag team match in the history of the WWE and professional wrestling. Cody and Seth versus Rock and Roman. It ain’t going to be a regular tag match. They can easily beat the piss out of you. If you beat the Rock and Roman on night one, on night two, your title match will be free of the Bloodline. No Jimmy, no Solo, no Paul, and no Rock. Rock says that Cody has his word and Roman’s word to finish the story one on one with Roman Reigns.
When they beat you, on night two, it is Bloodline Rules. Anything goes. He might pull up a chair and sit down next to Pat. Maybe Jimmy is guest referee. Maybe Solo sings the National Anthem. Or, Bloodline Rules, the Rock will take that chair and he will bash Cody’s brains in, and it will be legal. He tells Cody he has a lot to think about. You think you are tough? Do you think you can go two on two with the best? Meet us next week in Dallas to give us your answer. He tells Cody and Seth if you don’t accept this challenge, then you know and they know that the Rock will do everything in his power to make sure that Cody won’t win the title. There is no one in the back who can do that. He says you know where he sits. He is on the board and he is your boss.
There is no one who can stop him. If you don’t accept this challenge, then they will end your story tragically. How tough do you think you are? Meet us next week in Dallas and give us your answer.
Roman pauses Rock from “SMELLING”.
Roman asks for a mic and he is given it. He says he needs something from Rock. He says he will do anything for his family, but he needs this one thing. Roman looks at Rock and he wants Rock to acknowledge him.
Rock removes the sunglasses and he tells Roman that he acknowledges him as his tribal chief. They shake hands like Carl Weather and Arnold in Predator and they hug. Rock says they are family and they will do anything for family. He tells everyone to go home and smell some crack.
Rock wants to SMELL but he gives the mic to Roman to finish.
Backstage:
Grayson Waller and Austin Theory are in LOCKER ROOM. LA Knight enters and he asks if they have seen AJ Styles.
Randy Orton shows up behind Waller and Theory without their knowledge while they talk about Randy getting taken care of by Logan Paul. Randy asks them to run it again and he says that was so funny. Randy says he is going to top it and do something hilarious. One of you can get in the ring with him and he will rip your head off. You get to choose who gets to do the job. Waller says Theory was talking about facing Randy tonight. Randy says the match is on. Theory yells at Waller about what he did and Waller tells Theory he has the main event against Randy tonight.
We go to commercial.
Tiffany Stratton vs. Naomi
Tiffany with a shoulder tackle and she does back handsprings over Naomi. Naomi with a back elbow and and she shows Tiffany what she can do. Tiffany sends Naomi to the mat by the hair. Naomi with an Irish whip and a forearm in the corner. Naomi with kicks in the corner. Naomi with a drop kick into the corner. Naomi gets a near fall. Tiffany sends Naomi to the apron and Naomi with a kick and a slingshot X Factor for a near fall.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Tiffany with a handspring back elbow into the corner. Tiffany with a double stomp and she gets a near fall and Naomi rolls to the apron. Naomi with slingshot sit out pile driver on the apron. Naomi with a jumping knee but Tiffany with a spinebuster for a near fall. Naomi with a jaw breaker and a bulldog into the turnbuckles. Tiffany goes to the apron to avoid a move from the turnbuckles. Tiffany rakes the eyes when the referee was distracted. Naomi is sent into the ring post and Tiffany hits the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the three count.

Dakota Kai and Bayley vs. Asuka and Kairi Sane
Asuka and Kairi attack Bayley before the bell rings. Asuka and Kairi with a kick and Kairi with a drop kick to Bayley. Bayley with punches to Asuka and she gets Asuka down and punches her. Bayley is sent to the apron by Asuka and Asuka distracts the referee to allow Kairi to knock Bayley off the turnbuckles. Asuka with kicks but Bayley trips Asuka and then hits Kairi with a forearm. Asuka stops Bayley as she tries to get to her corner. Dakota is knocked off the apron when she collides with Bayley. Bayley with forearms. Asuka iwth a kick and Kairi tags in and Asuka with a Codebreaker followed by a blockbuster from Kairi for a near fall.
Asuka and Kairi attack Bayley before the bell rings. Asuka and Kairi with a kick and Kairi with a drop kick to Bayley. Bayley with punches to Asuka and she gets Asuka down and punches her. Bayley is sent to the apron by Asuka and Asuka distracts the referee to allow Kairi to knock Bayley off the turnbuckles. Asuka with kicks but Bayley trips Asuka and then hits Kairi with a forearm. Asuka stops Bayley as she tries to get to her corner. Dakota is knocked off the apron when she collides with Bayley. Bayley with forearms. Asuka iwth a kick and Kairi tags in and Asuka with a Codebreaker followed by a blockbuster from Kairi for a near fall. Kairi slams Bayley’s head into the mat and then sends Bayley into Asuka’s boots. Asuka tags in and Bayley sends Asuka into Kair. Bayley goes to the apron and hits Asuka with a foerarm as well as Kairi. Bayley with a cutter in the ropes.
Dakota gets on the apron and Asuka tries to stop Bayley form making the tag. Bayley kicks Asuka away and Dakota leaps off the apron to avoid the tag. Bayley with punches and forearms to Asuka and Kairi. Bayley goes to the floor and sends Dakota into the ringside barrier. Asuka and Kairi send Bayley back into the ring and Dakota joins them. Dakota slaps Bayley while Iyo watches and hits a running knee to the back of the head.
Iyo puts the title belt in Bayley’s face.
– Bron Breakker is in the back and he makes his Smackdown debut as we go to commercial.
– Dakota and her friends walk in the back and Jade Cargill is standing in their way. Nick Aldis says he will deal with them later because he has to talk to Jade.
Bron Breakker vs. Xyon Quinn
Bron Breakker with a huge spear out of nowhere as the bell rings and it’s over!
Winner: Bron Breakker
– We take a look at Santos Escobar and Legado. He says there is an unbreakable bond between them. He says they have been entrusted to carry on the legacy of lucha libre and take care of the LWO.
– Elektra says that Rey is gone and he is an old, crippled man. Santos is the emperor of lucha libre.
We go to commercial.
Santos Escobar vs. Carlito in a Street Fight
They start off throwing punches and Santos pushes Carlito away. Carlito with a Thesz Press. Carlito sends Santos to the floor. Carlito follows Santos and he sends Santos into the ring steps. Cartlito goes under the ring and he pulls out a table to make sure the crowd knows who to chant for. Santos with a kick and chops. Santos with a forearm and Carlito Irish whips Santos into the ring steps. The crowd now chants for some fruit and Carlito gets a kendo stick instead. Carlito finds an apple and it gets a bigger pop than the table. Santos with a suicide dive.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Carlito has a trash can over his head and Santos with a running double knee strike and he gets a near fall. Santos with a forearm and he sends Carlito to the floor. Santos sets for a suicide dive but Carlito hits Santos with a chair. Carlito with a clothesline and back elbow. Carlito tosses the trash can at Santos and then he teases hitting Santos with it but Santos covers up and Carlito puts it over Santos. Carlito hits the trash can with the chair. Carlito with a uranage onto the chair for a near fall.
We are back and Carlito has a trash can over his head and Santos with a running double knee strike and he gets a near fall. Santos with a forearm and he sends Carlito to the floor. Santos sets for a suicide dive but Carlito hits Santos with a chair. Carlito with a clothesline and back elbow. Carlito tosses the trash can at Santos and then he teases hitting Santos with it but Santos covers up and Carlito puts it over Santos. Carlito hits the trash can with the chair. Carlito with a uranage onto the chair for a near fall. Carlito gets a table and brings it into the ring. Santos with a jumping knee and Santos is not in a table mood. Santos with a kick in the corner and he puts Carlito on the turnbuckles for a rana but he takes too long and Carlito crotches Santos and sends him to the mat.
Garza and Carrillo attack Carlito and they hold Carlito and they hit a Cerberus Bomb for a near fall. Angel and Humberto set up the table. Cruz and Joaquin go after Angel and Humbeto. They fight to the floor. Santos watches the carnage on the floor but Angel and Humberto take care of them.
Rey Mysterio’s music plays and he comes out on crutches and Santos, Angel, and Humberto laugh at Rey.
They go after Rey, but the crutches are not necessary and Rey hits them with a crutch. He continues the attack.
Santos is in shock and Rey wants Santos. Rey gets in the ring and Rey tells Santos to hit him. Carlito spits the apple in Santos’ face and he hits a lungblower. Carlito and Rey knock Angel and Humberto off the apron and then Cruz and Wilde with flip dives. Rey with a 619 and Carlito with a spinebuster through the table for the three count.
Winner: Carlito
– Randy Orton is in the back as he prepares for his match against Austin Theory.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and next week, Bobby Lashley faces Karrion Kross, Logan Paul will be on the show.
Backstage:
Nick Aldis is with Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne. Tyler says they came so close in Perth and Pete says they would have been champion if it wasn’t for Dom. Tyler says they want to wrestle for the tag titles at Wrestlemania. Nick says he has talked to Adam Pearce about the tag titles and they will have an announcement soon.
There is some noise in the back and it is LA Knight looking for AJ Styles. Nick says that he told AJ not to be here tonight after watching what happened at Elimination Chamber. Knight points out that AJ flew halfway around the world to keep him from Wrestlemania. Knight says he will find AJ and he has a present for him. He says there is nothing that anyone can do about it.
– Kevin Owens makes his way to the ringside area to join commentary for the main event, as we go to commercial.
Austin Theort vs. Randy Orton
Orton blocks a kick and connects with an uppercut. Orton sends Theory into the turnbuckles a few times and connects with another uppercut. Orton with punches to Theory from the turnbuckles. Orton finishes it with a European uppercut. Orton punches Theory on the floor and sends him into the announce table. Kevin asks Orton to give Theory a back drop driver onto the announce table but Waller pulls Theory out of the way. Theory sends Orton into the ring post and Theory hits his own back drop driver onto the announce table.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Theory goes to the apron to pose. Theory goes up top and Orton stops Theory and punches him. Orton with more punches and he head butts Theory. Orton goes for a superplex but Theory tries to counter into a blockbuster but Orton is able to counter that into the superplex. Orton with a kick. Theory with an Irish whip and Orton with a clothesline out of the corner. Orton with another clothesline and he ducks one and hits a power slam. Orton clotheslines Theory to the floor and then Orton sets for the backdrop driver onto the announce table and Kevin is excited. Orton sends Theory into the ring and he kicks Waller and he gives Waller a back drop driver onto the announce table.
Orton sends Theory to the apron for the IEDDT. Orton looks around and he pounds the mat to set for the RKO but Theory sends Orton into the turnbuckles and ring post. Theory with a rolling blockbuster for a near fall. Theory signals or A Town Down and he gets Orton up but Orton escapes. Theory with a double thrust to the throat and he clips Orton. Theory with a forearm for a near fall. Orton goes to the apron and Theory sets for his own IEDDT but Orton sends Theory to the apron. Theory drops Orotn on the top rope and then Theory goes for a rolling move and Randy with an RKO for the three count.
Winner: Randy Orton
After the match, Waller attacks Orton but Owens goes after Waller and he kicks and punches him. Theory attacks Owens and Owens kicks Theory and elbows Waller. Owens iwth a stunner to Theory. Waller avoids a stunner, but he cannot avoid an RKO.
