Two Big Matches Internally Confirmed for WrestleMania 40 – WrestleMania 40 is set to feature two anticipated matchups: Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton and AJ Styles vs. LA Knight.
According to Dave Meltzer’s report in Sunday’s Daily Update, these bouts were confirmed by WWE following Saturday’s Elimination Chamber event in Perth, Australia.
“Coming off the Chamber show, those at WWE have confirmed both bouts, AJ Styles vs. LA Knight and Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton, that yesterday’s show appeared to set up. Both are right now listed for Mania.”
During the men’s chamber match, after Bobby Lashley’s elimination, AJ Styles entered the fray and subjected LA Knight to a barrage of steel chair shots, culminating in a Styles Clash atop the chair, leading to Knight’s elimination from the match.
Meanwhile, the conclusion of the men’s chamber saw Logan Paul donning a pair of brass knuckles. However, he found himself on the receiving end of an RKO from Randy Orton, resulting in his elimination. Although Paul managed to recover and strike Orton with the knuckles, it ultimately paved the way for Drew McIntyre to capitalize and secure the victory, thus solidifying McIntyre’s showdown against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
