Dakota Kai Expected To Return Soon – It appears that WWE might soon welcome back a star who has been sidelined due to injury for nearly a year, just in time for WrestleMania.
The star in question is Dakota Kai, who suffered a torn ACL during a tag team match on the May 12 edition of SmackDown, where she teamed up with Bayley against Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Recently, Kai teased her return on Instagram, indicating that she is getting closer to making an in-ring comeback. Despite deleting the post, it’s clear that she’s been active, filming promotional material and donning her ring gear.
While Kai has been featured on television in recent months, she has not been wrestling as Damage CTRL she’s associated with continues to evolve. Notably, the group recently turned on Bayley on a recent episode of SmackDown after Bayley discovered they had been speaking negatively about her in Japanese. Notably, Kai was not part of this segment.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “Damage Ctrl filmed WrestleMania graphics without Kai for what it’s worth. Kai should be returning relatively soon.”
Fans are hopeful that Kai will indeed make her comeback in time for WrestleMania in April, potentially setting up an intriguing matchup as IYO SKY defends the WWE Women’s Title against Bayley.
