Giulia Addresses Reported Interest from WWE – In recent months, multiple outlets have reported that WWE is interested in Giulia. In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Giulia was asked about WWE’s reported interest in her. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the translation)
“This is the first time I’ve been asked this directly in an interview (about WWE’s reported interest),” Giulia said. “What can I say… Giulia has grown up (laughs). But, I still have things to do in Japan.”
When asked whether she wanted to be based overseas in the futute, Giulia stated that she wants to make women’s wrestling in Japan more accessible.
“Do you know what my main purpose in continuing to wrestle is? It’s to make women’s wrestling in Japan a more accessible form of entertainment,” Giulia said. “I want more children to watch it, young people and women to watch it.
“I think all the wrestlers are doing just that. [And] I sometimes think that going abroad might be one way to achieve that goal… If you are going to do it, you have to do it right. If that happens, I think it will be a big decision.”
