The Dudley Boyz, comprised of D-Von and Bully Ray, have had a highly successful tag team career, winning championships in various wrestling promotions, including WWE, TNA Wrestling, NJPW, and ECW. After retiring from in-ring action, D-Von worked as a producer for WWE and later as an NXT trainer before his departure.
In September of the previous year, D-Von, in an autograph signing event, indicated that his return at the Impact 1000 tapings was not a one-time occurrence, expressing his desire to come out of retirement and sign a deal with Impact Wrestling, now TNA.
Bully Ray added fuel to the speculation with a tweet, asking fans whether they would be interested in seeing The Dudley Boys reunite for one more match. The tweet read, “What do ya think…1 last run??” This tweet has sparked anticipation and curiosity among fans about the possibility of a final run for the iconic tag team.
