Shawn Spears is Leaving AEW – Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select recently shared news of Shawn Spears’ departure from All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
According to the report, his status as a free agent commences on January 1, with an amicable separation agreed upon between him and AEW.
A mainstay on the AEW roster since its inception in 2019, Spears transitioned from his WWE tenure as Tye Dillinger, gaining popularity through his ten-count gimmick. In response to the news, Spears shared a heartfelt statement expressing gratitude to AEW for the incredible five-year journey of growth and personal development. Highlighting that this decision aligns with the best interests of his family, he conveyed appreciation to both the staff and fellow talent for the cherished memories created during his time with the promotion, concluding with his signature “#10.”
“What a wonderful time it has been. Thank you @AEW for allowing me to be there from the ground level. It’s been a fantastic 5 years of growth and personal development. This is a personal choice and one that is best for me and my family at this time. Thank you to all, staff and talent alike for the memories ❤️
