CM Punk Set for His First WWE Match Since 2014 Tonight – After granting its talent and staff a Christmas break, WWE resumes its live event schedule with the Holiday Tour commencing tonight and running through the upcoming Monday.
A noteworthy highlight of this tour is CM Punk’s return to the WWE ring for his first match since his departure from the company in 2014. His match against Dominik Mysterio marks a significant moment, especially after his last WWE appearance at the Royal Rumble prior to his departure. Since then, Punk’s sole wrestling match was at AEW All In, where he faced Samoa Joe in the opening bout.
The showdown between Punk and Dominik Mysterio kicks off at the Madison Square Garden event tonight, followed by a rematch scheduled at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on Saturday, December 30.
Here’s the lineup for tonight’s MSG house show:
- WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defends against Drew McIntyre.
- CM Punk squares off against Dominik Mysterio.
- Cody Rhodes and Shinsuke Nakamura collide in a Bullrope Match.
- Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & Damian Priest take on Sami Zayn & Jey Uso in an anticipated tag team clash.
