Vacant ROH TV Title Situation to be Addressed Next Week – On November 16, Tony Khan will address the Ring of Honor World Television Championship that was vacated by Samoa Joe.
Joe vacated the title after defeating Keith Lee on the November 8 episode of AEW Dynamite. Joe made it clear that his intentions were now to focus entirely on eventually becoming the next AEW World Champion.
On the November 9 episode of Ring of Honor television, it was announced that Tony Khan would reveal the fate of the championship on November 16.
During his reign, Samoa Joe became the longest-reigning Ring of Honor World Television Champion in history.
As of November 8, 2023, with 573 days as champion, Samoa Joe has become the longest-reigning Ring of Honor World TV Champion. Joe surpassed the 567-day record previously held by his former protege, Jay Lethal in his 2015-2016 reign.
Joe initially captured the belt on April 13, 2022, by defeating Minoru Suzuki on a special AEW Dynamite.
Joe has defended the title seventeen times thus far. Joe has defeated Colt Cabana, Mark Briscoe, Dalton Castle, Shane Taylor, and Tony Nese among others. Most recently, Joe bested Rhett Titus on the October 28 AEW Collision.
Even though he is the ROH World TV Champion, he is currently fixated on getting the AEW World Title away from Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF. Still, he’s willing to have Max’s back for now.
