Possible Big SmackDown Spoiler With Survivor Series Implication

Possible Big SmackDown Spoiler With Survivor Series Implication – With just one day remaining until the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, there are indications of a potential change to the card.

WWE has announced a new segment for tonight’s SmackDown, featuring Carlito. The friend of the LWO will be on-hand at tonight’s show in Chicago, Ill. to address his opponent at Survivor Series.

According to WrestleVotes, there have been internal discussions within WWE about the possibility of replacing Carlito in his match against Santos Escobar. The plan would involve incorporating an injury angle on tonight’s SmackDown to explain Carlito’s absence. The reasons for this potential change are unclear, but Dragon Lee is expected to step in as his replacement.

The decision to replace Carlito could stem from either a legitimate injury or a late creative adjustment. Dragon Lee is receiving acknowledgment on TV, with announcers highlighting Rey Mysterio’s endorsement. While it’s conceivable that this change was part of the original plan, it seems unlikely given Triple H’s track record of making late alterations to shows unless necessary.

The upcoming WWE Survivor Series PLE has a concise lineup with five confirmed matches and no indication of further additions. Here’s the card for the event:

  • GUNTER defends the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz
  • Rhea Ripley defends the Women’s World Championship against Zoey Stark
  • Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Randy Orton face off against The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre in the Men’s WarGames match
  • Santos Escobar vs. Carlito (possibly subject to change)
  • Bianca Belair, Shotzi, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair compete against Damage CTRL in the Women’s WarGames match.
