Timeframe for Randy Orton’s WWE Return Is Still on Track – Despite medical advice cautioning against a return to the ring, WWE and Randy Orton are preparing for the superstar’s comeback.
Orton, a former WWE Champion and an upcoming WWE Hall of Famer, has been absent from the wrestling scene since May and underwent a fusion back surgery late last year. Signs of his imminent return emerged when he was spotted at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, last month.
Reports indicate that WWE is actively working on Orton’s return and aims to have him back in action for the Survivor Series, scheduled for November 25 in Chicago, Illinois, at the United Center. In anticipation of his comeback, WWE has given the green light for new merchandise and branding for the “Viper.”
As detailed in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it appears that WWE remains steadfast in its plans for Orton to make a return to the ring within the next month, despite the medical concerns surrounding his wrestling career.
Meltzer wrote, “When asked about Orton returning at Survivor Series, we were told that is the suggested time frame, so likely about a month or so. His doctor did suggest he retire due to back issues but Orton makes a ton of money and really wants to go until he’s 50 if at all possible.”
