Sammy Guevara Reportedly Suffers Concussion

Sammy Guevara Reportedly Suffers Concussion – During the October 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara was originally slated to team up with Konosuke Takeshita to face Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho. However, it was revealed by Don Callis during the episode that Guevara had not been medically cleared to compete in the match.

As a replacement, Kyle Fletcher stepped in to take his place, and no further details were provided regarding the nature or severity of Guevara’s injury. Consequently, it remains unknown how long he will be sidelined.

Notably, Sammy Guevara had previously wrestled at AEW WrestleDream, where he teamed up with Takeshita and Will Ospreay against Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi.

Dave Meltzer, while speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, disclosed that Guevara had sustained a concussion during the WrestleDream match.

“So Sammy got a concussion on the pay-per-view. So he’s out until…it’s a concussion story. It could be next week. Who knows. But yeah, he’s out.”
